Exactly one year after the day they first went to bed, Ramon Salazar and Random of Amber are back where they met. In a booth, in the place called Milliways.
What's different is this time, Random's got them a candle, a steak for Ramon and a bowl of sukiyaki with tempura and ebi su for himself. He has chopsticks. Ramon has, for once, metal cutlery.
What's happening right now is Random's offering Ramon a piece of shrimp, with a helpless, loving smile on his face.
[ooc: please, feel free to tag to wish well or smirk or whatever, but beware. One mun has a bad computer, one has a bad wireless. However, we WILL reply.]

Ramon takes it off his fork with a grin. He also looks ridiculously relaxed and happy tonight, and Random gets a kiss on the cheek.
'It's been months since we were here together. It's nicer talking to you here than anyone else.'
Nicer talking to Random anywhere.

He can't eat while holding Ramon's hand. Not really.
But he can keep his foot brushing his under the table.
"I think the thing is that you're still dastardly. I'm the only one who you've endeared to you by taking me home and ravishing me."
no subject
'Dastardly?!'
Of all the words he'd use to describe himself, that one would be somewhere near the bottom. It's too cartoony - but typical of Random, all the same.
'Well, maybe I'd like anyone who'd let me take them home and ravish them?' he says with a teasing grin. But his foot brushes back, and he reaches out a hand to briefly squeeze Random's.
'I'm kidding. It wouldn't work for anyone else. Something about you - there always was.'
no subject
He beans, before eating another piece of tempura. He tries to hide a smile.
"I love it, I must say. Especially when you ravish me. Do you remember meeting in the forest? When I said fuck it and snogged you."
no subject
He so totally won't. He'd look like a military dictator or something.
...which might not be all that bad, now he comes to think about it.
'Of course I remember. How could I forget? I was so surprised, I almost fell over - especially as you'd just been hitting me.'
So worth it.
'And then you ran off and left me hanging. It was very annoying.'
Not that he minded. He didn't have long to wait to see him again.

When he ever bothers to shave.
"Tell me if you mind."
It's only when they kiss for a long time."
"But I had to leave you hanging. If you're going to fuck someone after knowing them three days, you have to play a little hard to get."
no subject
What look doesn't he like, on Random? But there's a mock-withering glance at him now.
'Hard to get? It was about six hours later when I took you to my room.'
Six hours too long, in his opinion, though he hadn't minded at the time, really. Hell, if he knew what was going to develop from it in advance, he'd probably have run a mile.

He takes a bite of his beef with a smirk, and then a sip of wine.
"I'd already decided I wanted you. And I get what I want, one way or another.
Tell me about what you thought of me? I know why I wanted you. Why did you want me?"
no subject
'Well. I suppose that's alright. I don't particularly mind being something you wanted, I suppose.'
As if.
'I thought you were hot. And I was curious about you because you wouldn't tell me anything.'
He considers for a moment, then grins.
'But mainly, it was just the all-round attractiveness, I have to say.'
What? It's true!
no subject
He smiles, and sips his wine again.
"I liked your voice. And I liked your shoulders. But mostly your voice. Especially when you laughed. I'd try to make you laugh."
no subject
'I wasn't laughing all that much when we talked at first. Proving I was macho with that curse, remember?'
He has a lot to thank that curse for, actually. Without it, they might never have managed a civil conversation.
'Your body, at first. And hair. And smile. And ass.'
Random makes a pretty nice view, he reckons.
'And you were an annoying little bastard. Hard to ignore.'
no subject
And he likes puzzles.
"I had to help you. Had to. Bitched at Arithon about it too."
no subject
That confuses him. He'd never known this before.
'I don't understand.'
no subject
He smiles at him over his wine.
"Just to take your mind off it. Even though I was supposed to hate you."
no subject
He'd never suspected. Not once. He doesn't know quite what to think now. In the end, he just grins.
'So you were only flirting with me because I was a mental charity case or something? Hey, thanks.'
He's only kidding.
no subject
He knows it.
"Tall, dark and handsome. My best indulgence."
no subject
'You're predisposed to flirt with everything, Random,' he adds, with a smirk. He doesn't mind. No oneelse gets to take him home.
no subject
It's an art.
"Although I'd only ever slept with one other person in the bar. And only twice."
Which is pretty good.
no subject
The implication being, of course, that if Random had had more time...
He doesn't care. Andres is a thing of the past, and no one else matters any more.
no subject
No, time wasn't an issue.
"I'd known him for ages."
It was just them.
no subject
Andres, not Random. And he's certainly not going to spoil the mood by talking about that man. So he picks up his fork again and attacks his steak.
'You want to try some? It's good.'
no subject
His is too nice. He eats another shrimp.
"I should talk to Aeryn again. She made me realize this, after all."
no subject
Random's full of surprises tonight. Another thing he hadn't heard.
no subject
It was great.
no subject
Ramon looksshocked that it could be that easy. How is it that easy? It had been a nightmare to get himself to admit it - mostly to himself.
'I'll have to buy her a drink. I had no idea.'
no subject
Well, I freaked right out on her. First time I thought it to myself too. I can tell you, it scared me right to death.
no subject
'I wouldn't have thought it would worry you so much. Although...yeah, I was in the cells at the time. Maybe it wasn't the best time to be realising stuff like that.'
It was when he'd realised too. But he'd had help.
