Not exactly bothering... but, there is a tall, strong humanoid alien near. Lobo is shirtless, wearing leather pants and combat boots, having a cold ale while watching... people.

He is bored...

And of course, being a writerly-type person, April stares openly. To get a good feel for what he looks like.

She's not creating narration in her head, what?

And thus, April shivers a little and glances back to her notebook, doodling a little... almost cartoonified version of the alien she's been watching.

Yeah, she's an artist alright.

Sepulcher black hair, long... black markings on his chalk white skin. No body hair. Eyes of red-inside-red, no visible pupils.

The chiseled build of a man who fought his way across the galaxy, both ways.

Lobo has a feral charm about him, and is rather handsome, strangeness aside.

But he also, feels dangerous...

The alien now observes her... a brow raised.

She glances up to get her bearings for the drawing and squeaks almost inaudibly.

"Um... hi."

"Hya." That brow still raised. "Wassup?"

"Um... not much." she smiles a little nervously. "I, uh, was just sortof doodling you... I hope you don't mind."

"Doodling?" That brow rises more... okay, he is natural scary.

"Um... yeah? Drawing, without trying to actually make it look good?" She hesitantly turns her notebook around so he can see.

It's actually pretty good... for a cartoony doodle.

Lobo watches it.

And watches.

And watches...

Oooh, feel the tension in the air...

And suddenly, he explodes in laughter, a loud, open laugh...

The laughter breaks the tension and causes April to laugh a little herself, mostly out of relief. "Yeah, I... I just do that to pretty much anyone. I'll stop if it bothers you or anything."

"Nah. I'm bored, it cuts the boredom." He looks her over. Yes, in THAT way. After all, Lobo has three main interests in life. "I'm Lobo."

April flushes a little but smiles anyway. Not flirting, but not running screaming, either. "April. Nice to meet you."

"Yer from earth." Not really a question... letting his gaze wander more...

[You did not see that! *L*]

"Um. Yes." And cue April rather clutching her notebook to her chest in a totally non-chalant way.

[*G* Nope, totally didn't.]

That seems to just amuse Lobo... hey, he is brutally honest about everything, including his apreciation of women.

But he will not move closer without a clear invite.

Well, good. Sorry, honey, but you're not getting one.

"So... you, um... come to the bar a lot?"

April really hopes that her friendliness doesn't come off as flirting...

"Yeah, its a nice stop in the way back and forth across the universe..." Lobo just smiles...

"Oh? What, um... what do you do?" Nervous smile in return.

"Bounty Hunter." A chuckle... he could have said 'anything, at least once', but... why scare the girl?

Thank you, Lobo, you're very kind. Poor girl's nervous enough as it is.

"Oh, really?" But there she brightens up. It's the writer in her... "That must be interesting."

"Pay's good... and a good fight is always fun."

"What kind of jobs do you get?"

... and now he's doing an interview. April, you are a special special girl.

"People hire me to hunt the kind of scum that makes police sick in the stomach... to bring back stolen stuff... to break down gangs... if there is a good fight and good money in it, I do it."

"Huh. Well, I'm sure you're very good at it..." she's a little nervous again, glancing at the muscles.

"I am the best there is..." Nice muscles... very nice...

"Well... good for you." Almost scary, really.

On the whole, very scary alien.

"And people hire me because they know I keep my word on the deal."

"Good to know."

"And they know what happens to people who try to double-cross the Main Man..."

April gulps a little.

"What is that?" she asks hesitantly.

"Chill girl..." Lobo chuckles... "Not gonna hurt ya..."

"Oh! I know that." April tries to brush it off. "Um... you're just, y'know. A little intimidating?"

...well, way to be honest, 'Ril.

"Yeah, I know. I am Lobo, after all."

Funny, how he says it almost like a title...

"Yes. Yes you are." April agrees.

What else is she gonna say?

"And you have questions, but you are thinking if you should ask or not..." He grins more.
