Paradoxes. A bar of chocolate came with them, but she put it back.

"No, you really don't. Just work on it a bit at a time."

[guppy_sandhu]

"I can't be bothered, it's just stupid waffle. 'Please read and sign that you've understood all my instructions, all two hundred and forty of them including the one that says don't forget not to wear a tie and to drink my tea faster'. He's like totally boring."

[lvpd_sidle]

"Sounds like it. Just....well, don't worry about it tonight. Work on it tomorrow." Hopefully the effects of the chocolate will wear off by then.

[guppy_sandhu]

The answer mollifies him slightly and he nods in agreement. Then winces and puts one hand to his head as the effects of the magic and sugar start to wear off.

"Take it easy," she says quietly, getting him a glass of water.

[guppy_sandhu]

His hand is shaking as he takes the glass, probably a result of eight bars worth of caffeine.

"Thank you." he says quietly, sipping the water and sounding more like his usual self. The effect going almost as quickly as it came.

"Sorry. I... don't know what that was all about."

[lvpd_sidle]

"Seems to be happening to a lot of people."

[guppy_sandhu]

"What is happening?"

He looks slightly frightened. "Am I safe to work?"

[lvpd_sidle]

"Now that it's worn off, I'm sure you are. I think the chocolate was affecting you somehow."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Like a sugar high?"

He frowns slightly, sipping the water.

"Right now I don't feel anything other than a splitting headache and mildly nauseous, which probably means I've given myself a migrain. But before... it was like the rest of the world were being really boring."

[lvpd_sidle]

"You were acting like a teenager and you apparently ate a dozen chocolate bars."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Eight, I think. I do remember, it's just... it was like having a cloud in my head."

A sigh. "Sorry. I don't think I actually behaved like that as a teenager."

[lvpd_sidle]

"No harm done."

[guppy_sandhu]

A small smile.

"I think I'm going to go to bed." He reaches over and gives her a hug. "Goodnight. Thanks for stopping me burning my paperwork."

[lvpd_sidle]

"Not a problem," she says, hugging back. "I'll tease you later. Good night."

[guppy_sandhu]

A small sheepish grin and he heads upstairs, taking the water with him.
