The fashion designer was back, with a whole box full of fabric scraps and an oversized sketchbook.

He was apparently doing designs for winter prom wear and having quite a time of it. That would be why he's grinning and stapling fabric samples to the pages, as well as drawing lines between the pictures and the scraps and making notes like: 'illusion of movement' and 'lots of ruffles' and 'don't skimp on the glitter'

He's got scones that Bar gave him when he got his chai, they might be cranberry, they might be cherry, it's difficult to tell, and he hasn't had one yet.

Clive blinked, then again, then grinned, stapling down a bit of silver and black tulle, "I hadn't been. But thanks."

The smile was all the brighter, really, "How've you been? Haven't been in as often as I'd like to catch up with people."

There was a 'missed you' in there somewhere.

Another brilliant smile, nodding and scribbling down another note before shoving the whole works aside, "On the road though? What've you been up to? Not on the run I hope."

His brow creased slightly at that, concerned, but not entirely sure about whom, "Angels in disguise and whatnot."

Another slight smile, "Nice to know you're getting on alright though."

He nodded at the first, "We all do, most of us just don't know it."

A smile then, finally snagging a scone for himself, "Well enough, better now that I'm not a girl anymore." A shrug, "Bar's idea of how to make Halloween fun and entertaining for me."

He'd been about to deny it, when he blushed just a little, remembering exactly what had happened, then he shrugged, "Suppose so, but probably not how she expected."

A pause, "... or maybe she planned it, I've no idea."

He shrugged, "I guess I made a pretty good girl. I mean, Gypsy always said I was 'so much more of a girl' than her."

And he wouldn't have objected to 'pretty' really.

He smiled shaking his head, "Good idea, really." Because too much longer on that subject and he'd be babbling, really.

He shrugged, flipping open the book again, "Designs work better if I've got a sample of the kind of fabric I'm thinking of."

He laughed, "That's the idea. Spring fairies, well, winter if production gets stepped up, and whoever wants to buy them really."

He grinned outright, nodding, "That's the idea." A shrug, "Apparently spring is a good time for fairytale dresses."

Mostly he came up with his own ideas, sometimes they gave him guidelines, but generally when they did it was just something like that 'spring's good for fairytale dresses' or 'off the shoulder sweaters are popular right now' and even if he turned in designs that were cocktail dresses and turtleneck sweaters, they still got made.

There was that smile again, nodding, "Gypsy likes them too."

And really, in the long run, that was who he was designing them for, whether or not she actually bought them herself, or wore them.

It was like drawing pictures for your mother, sort of.

He smiled then, nodding, "Something like that." A shrug, "She'd deny it, but I think she'd like the idea anyway."

Because, well, it worked both ways, if she was his muse for the fashion work, he was hers for singing.

Another shrug, "She doesn't like being responsible for other people's actions I guess. Something like that."

He shrugged, "She doesn't mind being an influence, really, it's just when people start saying that she's responsible for what they do, that's what gets to her."

His head tilted then, "Steve and Anne?"

He nodded slowly then, just thinking that over, "Good for her for getting out though. Some people just take that sort of thing their whole lives. Get used to it."

And that was fine with Clive, who wasn't sure if he wanted to hear the rest of it. Things like that rarely ended well no matter how good they started.
