She didn't know why she hadn't gone home. It wasn't like she was stuck in the bar. She'd told Suzi that she could see the door. And she could. So by what she'd been told she wasn't bound to this place. But something had kept her from going home. Back to Hannibal King. The only male that she did trust nowadays. The only guy to back her up when her life was in danger. The day before this she'd asked the Bar for a room key and had gotten it, slept in that room... or at least had tried to anyways. Now though she's back downstairs and laying out on the couch. Though she's not entirely with it and she's staring off into space.

Distractions would be good. Before she ends up just taking everything she's been bottling up inside and breaks down.

Duck lifted his head, blinking at Abby before unfolding from his perch to pad over before offering one webbed foot solemnly.

The woman chuckled, "He wants to shake your hand. s'Duck, introducing himself."

Duck whonked just as solemnly, shaking back before returning to his perch, nesting down.

She nodded, "Duck." She shrugged, "He hasn't taken to anything else."

Ana nodded, "I'm Estsanatlehi. Ana if it suits better." A wink then, starting to roll the cornmeal paste into balls, flattening each one slightly before lining them up on the hearth, "Less've a mouthful innit?"

Another chuckle, shaking her head and wiping her hands, shaking out a blanket to cover the corncakes with, misting it with a spraybottle, "We'll stick with Ana then."

She smiled, "Corncakes. S'what I do." She nodded to Duck, "He was cornmeal when he started out."

She nodded, smiling, "Duck-shaped corncake. That's the difference a magic blanket and a bit of sunlight make from a normal blanket and a nice warm hearth."

It's possible that Ana's met him. She's met a lot of people in her time.

She shrugged, smile tilting once more, "That's what I do." Because, really, it was.

She tilted her head then, settling back against the couch, setting in to spinning with a drop spindle while waiting for the corncakes to cook, "And what is it you do?"

She nodded slowly, mulling that over, "Could perhaps teach classes? More girls need to know how to fight."

She blinked, brow creasing slightly, "Hannibal?" This isn't said in a tone of 'who' so much as a tone of 'what were his parents thinking?'

She nodded then, "I see." Because, well, her own boys were 'Sunrise' and 'Sunset' But that's because they were

She nodded, giving the spindle a twist, rather like an airborne top really, waiting until it touched the floor to wind the yarn back up, "Understandably so."
