Enter a politician

Peter wasn't the only Petrelli to be a bit distracted. Nathan left his brother with their mom while he started making phone calls on his way back to his campaign office. He was still talking on his cellphone as he walked through the door.

"Look, get me Tom on the phone, will ya? ...Hello? Hello?" He stared at his cellphone. Damn, he shouldn't have lost the signal. He then glanced up, only instead of the familiar hustle and bustle of a frantic campaign office going into the last stretch....It was a bar? What the hell?

Nathan took a few steps further in, not realizing the door closing smoothly behind him. Must have gotten turned around or something.

(ooc: much love folks, but gotta say slowtime for work and class. Will be back to tag slowtimes after 4:30pEST. Never mind on the work! Yay! Here till 3pmEST. BACK! Feel free to send more pups to meet my newest one.)

"I'm not sure about that. You seem to be trying to take our your anger on the place. You're lucky they haven't arrested you." Kirk knows it doesn't work that way (he thinks). But maybe Nathan will pay a little attention?

"Besides, if you really want to beat something up, there's a punching bag out by the lake."

"The same way there can be a Bar at the end of timespace. Whatever made this place is pretty advanced. Otherwise, we couldn't survive that..." He points at a certian window on the dying unvierse. It's time Nathan saw the observation window. Though Kirk would bet it won't impress him.

"you know, I appreciate someone who doesn't just accept what he says withotu a little investigation. It's a sound appraoch to exploration and to life. But you're taking this a bit too far.

"All of this is real. Not something out of a holovid. And the door isn't going to come back just because you want it to." This guy wouldn't last ten minutes on a starship.

"This is real, mister. I can't help it if you don't want to accept it." For a moment, Kirk recalls that Uhura told him about that self-absorbed transporter chief, and how she told him that what was going on was "fantasy." He is so tempted to play it that way, but it wouldn't help.

"What sort of campaign? Political, I assume?" Can't be military.

"Congress? I've never met anyone running for that. Which house, Lords or Commons?" As a student of history, Kirk knows better. But he is entitled to have just a little fun, he thinks.

"Ah, right. It's been a while since I reviewed American history. What party are you in?" All things considered, Kirk is interested. Politics can be fascinating, from a distance.

[ooc: This is an unfair question, but Kirk insists. Feel free to handwave it since the show doesn't seem to know]
