There is a saying in some cultures- as the days begin to lengthen, the cold begins to strengthen. It's true in England, or at least the England of Harry Wells' day. The wind that follows him through the door from another day of working with the Slayers is proof enough of that. He closes the door swiftly behind him and heads for the Bar; for all that they do a marvellous job feeding the girls at the Academy, they only do one or two vegetarian dishes well. And those involve tofu. Bar, on the other hand, does imam bayildi and mujaddarah just like somebody else's mother entirely used to make.

Guess where Wells is eating his dinner tonight?

Mun notes that table sounds like it would hurt a whole hell of a lot and would growl if it weren't that her pup did that a lot as is.

"Manticore hurts us all." He states momentarily shivering at the mere mention of the name. "Don't like the Nomalies."

Wells never had to actually touch the table. The air fresheners in the room, on the other hand, were filled with colloidal silver solution. Ask him about his lung injury sometime.

"Can't say I blame you," says Wells. "Considering."

"Even know what they are?"

He doesn't recall if he told Harry last time... No, he only told of the humans... the Ordinaries.

"Someone told me about 'em once," says Wells. "I know I've heard the word before. Might've been Max who told me. I dunno that I remember a damn thing else, though."

He blinks a bit at that. "You know Maxie?"

Wells shakes his head. "I haven't seen her in ages," he says. "But I used to know her. Fought alongside her once, even."

"She's my baby sister." Ben states simply. It was weird finding out that Harry had known his sister.

"Lucky you," says Wells. "I haven't got a sister. Is she- how is she, anyway? It's been ages..."

"When I saw Maxie she was fine." It's been a while though.

Wells nods. "Good for her," he says. "I'm glad, really I am. She seemed a good sort in the little time I knew her."

"Always been." He gives a slight nod. "The good one. The less dangerous one." She wasn't as dangerous as him. But then again she wasn't broken.

"Considering just how fucking dangerous she was at the time-" Wells stops abruptly and shakes his head. "Damn. Remind me not to get in your way."

Ben gives a slight shrug to what Harry is saying. "Like you. Have no reason to be worried."

"All right, fair," says Wells. "Hey, question. I seem to recall you weren't too fond of indoors. Is it that cold out tonight?"

"Not cold." Well... okay, it is cold but not to him. "Decided to come in." Brave the indoors so to speak.

There's a bit of a smile at that; he nods. "Seen anything interesting so far?"

"No." Ben states. "Silly little puzzle though. It tried to break the doctor's brain."

"Yeah?" asks Wells, one eyebrow raised. "What sort of puzzle? M'wife takes an interest sometimes."

"Called it a Sudoku." Ben states making a slight face. "Was a weird puzzle. Hard."

"Oh, yeah, I've seen those," says Wells, waving one hand. "Never could do 'em worth shit."

"It nearly broke the doctor's brain." Ben, on the other hand, finished. So did the mun but it broke the mun's brain in doing so.

"I expect I'd've just wadded mine up and chucked it away," Wells confesses.

"Never done it before. Was weird."
