Hiro has -- made himself comfortable. Sure, by doing so he fell asleep in a boothe, but-- still. The guy's had a long (confusing, squee-filled) day. Still, he woke up to the bustling of bar and began to stumble about, realizing:

He has only the vaguest idea of where he is.
He has no idea how to leave, because he can't seem to find a door out that doesn't lead to SCOTLAND, or it's equivalent.
He needs a shower.
He's famished and this place has the best waffles on God's green earth-- or, well, the multiverse.

He's decided to pursue problem 4 -- one and two will sort themselves out but waffles wait for no one. No one.

Though, he does wish Ando were here. It's probably make communication easier. His english drastically improved... what with six months with his prettier teacher... but... Miscommunication is bound to happen. Ando would fix that. Ando's English is EXCELLENT. (Because of the American porn!)

For now? Waffles.

"...we don't know. But myself from the futuah -- he came and gave us a message! Save the cheerleader, save the world!" And he says this with the utmost seriousness-- a complete straight face.

Peter blinked once, twice....

"...That's got to be one of the lamest messages I ever heard."

He added, "I like cheerleaders as much as any redblooded American straight guy, but what the heck do they have to do with the world?"

Hiro shrugs, though he looks a titch defensive. After all; his future self sent that message! "We will find out! She is probably very special!" Just like Hiro is!

Peter sharpened his focus on Hiro, "What kind of special? Besides a version of you be-bopping through time that is? Psychic special, paranormal, magic, what?"

"Supaa powah!" Hiro exclaims. THAT sort of special! ... are there other sorts of special he should worry about?

"As in superheroes? You got one of those kind of worlds, huh?"

Hiro nods energetically. "Met man who could fly. WHOOSH!" He makes the motion with his arm, and sighs.

He wants to be able to fly too!

Peter shrugged. Between busts, and coming to Milliways for two years now, he took a lot of weird things for granted now. A lot seemed old hat.

"Yeah? Him, and about a good percentage of people around here. And by your reaction, guessing time travel and flying's not that common?"

Hiro shakes his head quietly. "Only met-- two," he says quietly. Two happy little people who have powers! SPECIAL people.

"Yeah? They fly too, or shoot lasers from their eyes?"

Peter added, "If there's a couple of you, there's probably more. Usually how it goes. Weird likes a big room."

"Big room?" he does not grasp that particular euphismism. Blinking, he shrugs. He hopes there are more! two heroes among billions would be crazy!

Peter then explained, "I mean, usually it's not just one spot. I think there's probably more. A lot more with powers out there."

"Oh. Well, I am Japanese! He was American!" So plenty of genetic drift between the two of them, you know. Not a lot of people all glommed together breeding up superbrats, right?

Peter remarked, "Yeah, ok. What's your point? If it was just one person, maybe you can say it's unusual. But that's pretty rare. Last time there might have been an incident like that would have been a few millenia ago. And depending on who you talk to? Even that wasn't that unusual." Some allowance for differing religious beliefs.

Venkman, you're losing him. He's got that glassy eyed stare of 'huh'?

Peter blinked at that, and then chuckled. "Oh man... that's one for the record books. I'll have to tell Ray I made somebody's eyes glaze over. Usually he's good at that."

He waved a hand, "Never mind. This is what I get for hanging around with geeks like Ray and Egon all the time. Just saying, don't be surprised if you run into more people with powers."

"OK!" he can understand. IT didn't confuse him at all. (And it's not just you, Peter; it's partially the language barrier.)

"So the time travel bit? That's your deal?"

"Time and space," Hiro clarifies. "Very difficult. Not very good at it."

Peter's eyes widened at that. "Oh man. Seriously? Definitely need to talk to Ray. And his fiancee. She's uh... a Time Lord."

"Time Lord?" Oh god. NOW YOU HAVE HIS TOTAL ATTENTION. "Under which Who?"

Yeah. He asked that question with a straight face.

Peter shrugged, "I don't know. I never watched. Her name's Romana."

He then added, "By the way? There are a lot of people around here who've appeared in different things like movies, tv, and such. Go easy on fanboying them, ok? I mean, I've seen our movies, and so has Ray, but that doesn't go for everybody, you know?" On how effective this was going to be, probably not much. But Peter felt compelled to comment on that.

He nods quietly. "Andrew said," he assures. Don't worry, he's aware. Sometimes he just can't help staring, but-- he's getting better at that, really!

"Oh yeah, Andrew. I know him. Helped him out once dealing with a lot of demons in his world. Ray, Jeeves or Giles, these two brothers, Hank, Nita, and a lot of people. Crazy times."

Peter then replied, "Big fanboy. Oh, speaking of which..." And he grinned some, and hoped Ray wasn't gonna to kill him.

"You should meet Foxtrot. He's like that too. Even founded a religion for geeks and techies. Declared Ray as being its god."

Hiro just sort of blinks. Ray? God?

...uh.

Weird.

"I will find 'Foxtrot', someday," He says and nods. He's not sure about the church, though.
