Crichton comes back into the bar, looking around for familiar faces. The boredom is driving him crazy; he needsto talk to Andrew & Friends so he can get out of here already.

He goes up to a servingrat and gets himself a beer.

*Angie sees John from where she is talking with Bartleby. She stifens visibly, but she ends her conversation with him and walks over.*

Hullo John.

Crichton brightens immediately. "Angie! Sit down, it's been, well, God it's been a l- you okay?"

Despite his obvious happiness at seeing her, he's also noticeably nervous as to how she's going to react.

*She takes a seat opposite him, straight backed and still as stiff as a board. Johns not the only one who's nervous and it shows.

She gets defensive at his question.*

I'm fine... Why wouldn't I be?

"Maybe that you look about as relaxed as a lobotomy patient."

Oh ha ha very funny...

A small smile. "It's true, though."

Back to seriousness.

"Angie... I know what Scorpius said to you on Halloween."

*She looks him straight in the eye.*

And thats true as well isn't it...

"I spent eight months, Angie. Eight months wondering if I'd imagined this place. If floating out in space... if I was making stuff up, going crazy. Eight months is a long, long time."

So's two when someone you care about dissapears without saying goodbye!

Crichton looks down. "And Meg gave me a lecture on that topic, despite that I don't remember a thing."

He looks up again. "I don't, Angie. Honest. I remember almost nothing from the first time I was here, probably because of that damned chip. I can't make excuses or offer explanations for things I did if I don't know what they were or why I did them."

Meg lectures a lot of people about a lot of things. It's what she does.

I know you don't remember. I don't blame you for that. I don't blame you for any of this.

"Yes, you do. And until I prove that I had a good reason, you have every right to.

I am sorry."

Can you prove that you had a good reason though? You don't even remember what it was.

"Which is exactly my point, y'see -- until I can prove to you that I had a good reason, you can be angry all you want, and I have no right to say no to that."

I don't want to be angry though!

"Then what is it you do want?"

*She looks down at the table.*

You know what I want. You know I won't get it either.

Crichton sighs. There's nothing he can really say to that.

*She looks up again.*

Acording to Tim I should try dating other people. He gave a long list of people whom I've never met, Dr Lecter, and himself as candidates.

"Dr. Lecter? As in Hannibal Lecter? If He and Tim are the ones on the list I'd suggest a second opinion."

The only ones I know anyway. I was leaning rather more towards Lecter myself...

*She is of course joking.*

A smile. "They say people are always attracted to those that remind them of previous relationships. I really hope you don't think of me as Doctor Lecter."

*She grins.* There is no one out there like you. You're one of a kind John Crichton.

You know Lecter then?

"I'm familiar with the concept."

Which means what?

"He's from a movie. Really famous, actually. Not the nicest guy in the world."

I should have know you'd say that.

Yeah I kind of gathered that about him.

"So who else did Tim suggest, anyone I'd recognize?"

*She lists the ones she can remember.*
Some bloke named Shipwreck, Anakin, and he mentioned that he thinks most of the roughnecks are free as well.

Oh and I was told by a turtle that I'm his true love and somehow we decided to run away to the sewers and adopt a ballerina.

Crichton almost chokes on his beer. "Raph wants you and him to adopt Meg?"

No Raphs brother Mike wants us to adopt Meg.

"Okay, I repeat the question."

*She laughs.*

Don't ask me to figure out how his mind works, I've only met him twice.

"Oh, his mind works in very strange ways. I've seen the show."

I got that the first time I met him.

"How long ago did he show up in the bar?"

*She shrugs.*

A week ago, maybe two.

"Hmm. Ran into him for about a minute. I think. Then he ran off. I think Leo's here too."

That would probably be the one Raph threw in the cells then. Brotherly love is such a wonderful thing to behold.

Crichton stifles laughter. "Raph threw Leo in the cells? Why?"

Why does Raph do anything he does?

"Point."

You know if thats how Raph treats his brother, I'd hate to see what he'd do with an enemy...

"He's a ninja turtle. Or was. Hey, is he ever planning on going back, you think?"

I don't know. I offered to try and change him back after it happened but he said no. Then he met Penny and it never really came up again.

"Once you go human... okay I am not finishing that sentence."

*She laughs.*
