Peter walked through the door, yawning, and wiping inefficiently at some baby spitup on his shoulder. Maria had a cold, Oscar had a cold, and Dana was starting to get a cold. He was actually relieved to see the bar for once.

"THANK GOD!" He yelled, and jogged over to the bar. "My usual, Bar, if you please....Hey, that's not part of my usual!"

Along with his food, there was another book by Wilhelm Reich. And one on taking care of horses.
They stayed there despite his protests of the latter one.

He facepalmed, "...She just had to ask for a horsey."

"Just be glad she didn't ask for a donkey." Notes the cat sitting on the stool nearby drinking milk from a shot glass.

Peter glanced over. Another talking cat? And wearing clothes... That's new.

"Nice threads, you new? And what's this about a donkey?"

"Not really, no." Puss answers after giving it some thought. "I've been coming here a little while now." He takes a drink then shakes his head, "I just said be glad whoever wants the horse did not ask for a donkey. Donkeys are loud mouth trouble."

"Yeah? Well, I've only been around here and there, but been stopping by here for nearly two years now I think."

Peter then replied with a sigh, "My daughter. She can't even talk yet, but she got a horse for Christ...er...Hogswatch."

"Hogswatch? What is that?" Puss missed the crazy boar drawn sleigh and all.

"Like Christmas, only on a much weirder world," he remarked.

"Ah, I see. An the little ones recieve horses on that day then?" He asks. "Is your daughter a good rider?"

"Just usual gifts, but she had to pick the anthropomorphic figure who could give her a horse. And she's not even a year old yet! She can only sit up and crawl, much less stand or walk yet."

"Hmm...it is kind of odd to give a horse to someone who is not old enough to ride yet. But you can take her on the horse then, yes?" Because not being able to ride the horse would make it a disappointing present in Puss's mind.

"The guy is normally Death for his world. The elevator doesn't seem to reach the top floor on that one," Peter remarked, with hasty glances around to make sure he wasn't overheard.

He shrugged, "I guess. Hmmm..." He did like the rare instances that he got to go horseback riding as a kid, pretending he was a cowboy.

"Yeah, sure. She wouldn't even known about horses yet if a guy I know hadn't brought one of the fillys he was raising with him here."

And Puss looks around too then back at Peter curiously. "Death gives presents on Hogswatch?"

"This one does. He was dressed up like Santa Claus at the time."

He then shrugged, and gave a small smile, "Milliways, huh? The insanity never stops around here. Or the horror. Sometimes it's both."

"Yes. It is a strange place indeed. Did you get a present?" Puss is curious because if people were getting presents surely he should have recieved one. Being the cute, adorable, daring swordscat that he is.

Peter nodded, "A few, sure. Not for him. Friends of mine here."

"Ah. Okay then." And Puss feels better now. Because he recieved a gift from a friend just not from Death but if not everyone was included in Santa Death's gift giving he doesn't mind.

"Yeah, well you know Santa's deal is for kids anyway. Grown-ups can buy their own gifts on discount."

Puss looks at Peter blankly a moment. "You do not get a present from Santa?"

Peter eyed the cat some, "Usually not if you're an adult. That part's just for the kiddies." Then again, he remembered many Christmases as a kid where Santa seemed to miss their house. His stepmother tried her best, and of course, his father was never any help being away from home so much.

"Yes well, Santa does love Kitties." Puss nods. Who doesn't? Which is why his stocking is always full. "I am sorry to hear though that you do not get presents from him. I recieved an extra mouse if you would like it?"

And, look, it's a Malcolm.

"Hey, Pete."

"Reich, huh? Trying to pump up your orgone? Dana will be pleased."

Peter glanced over at him, "It's the second one the Bar's given me. I vaguely remember some of the professors calling his earlier work brilliant. Before he went crackpot. Some of the stuff on personalities wasn't bad." There might be a brief smirk there suggesting that wasn't all he liked.

He then picked up the one on horse care, "It's this one that's bugging me."
