Hiro has been busy -- very busy. But it's not the busy he wants. It's the busy, however, he delivers to Bar with a, "Purease give to the crew of... Sss...Su... Serenity. Delivery securetu!"

Bar takes the gift away, and Hiro sighs, content. The crew he's met has been so good to him (well, Jayne was scary, but that was logical, right?), it's only right to show them his appreciation.

Now done, he finds himself with his beer -- Sam Adams, since Mike got him started on it -- alone before the Observation Window.

There's a strange sense of melancholy to the man today; he looks at the emptiness on the other side of the booth, and he looks to the wall where the door should be.

"This is not how we roll," he sighs, and takes another swig.

Ando, at least, should be here. Charlie, he failed and lost forever.

"I bend time and space!" Hiro says and grins a little. "Only- not very well. Not lately."

Not since Charlie.

"So you practice," he states, like one would say "duh."

"Unless it's something you can't control."

"I do. Only...' he frowns. "I fail somebody."

And now we have performance anxiety in the worst way.

"You fail who?"

"Charlie," he says forlornly.

"And why do you fail Charlie?"

[supaahiro]

"I couldn't stop her from dying," he says. "First, I go back! Six months, almost, because serial killah, he--" Well, HIRO gestures for the Big Deadness "... but... but she says, she has-- something in her brain. She's... not going to live anyway."

He looks like you just ran over his puppy, Bond.

Bond frowns. He's terribly sorry he metaphorically ran over Hiro's puppy.

"And you're afraid to use your powers again because of it?"
