Okay, it was one thing to step into a bar and end up in another Bar. It was another thing entirely to step into a copy room at work and see that your pet delusion of the week was not quite as imaginary as hoped.
She couldn't help the small smile, after all, it was magical, and kinda nice that the Bar at the End of the Universe was real...but it slid into annoyance and no little frustration as the door closed and disappeared. She'd been working, the last bit of paperwork for the Xanatos affair...
Only when she'd given up on getting the door back did she truly face bar proper, a growl on her lips...then she noticed puppets. Puppets everywhere. The Bar populace in general was lucky she didn't draw her piece then and there.
So there was one very annoyed, confused cop with her back to the wall...

"Elisa?" He stared in shock and then his expression turned into a smile and shout. "Elisa!" If it weren't for the tiny people all around he'd be hurrying towards her now.

"What are you doing here?"

Missed them?..."Just now? The first time I came the door didn't disappear though..." she was not panicking. Nope. Just sounding edgy.

And as much as she'd love to see him tear into a wall to get her back to finish "We'll give it a little time okay?"

"Let's talk okay?"

"Now I know this may sound weird, Goliath, but I just say you last night..."

Not that Goliath would hear word one about moving.
"So, not only does it have random doors, but it doesn't even take people from the same place and time?" she sighed. "This sounds like it's going to be a headache...and you've been stuck here..." she sighed softly.
"How you holding out big guy?"

He studied her a moment, "And you said Xanatos is still in prison. That would mean that we have only just met correct?"
no subject
"Yeah, one of the weirdest weeks of my life" she agreed wryly. "But not a single regret."

Her last comment gets a smile from him at last. "I am still greatful that you were there for me and my clan. It was a very different world we were adjusting too and Xanatos had the upper hand most of the way."
no subject
"And don't mention it...Serve and Protect means everyone you know. You guys aren't doing so bad in adjusting, and I know I've said it before, but you'll be good for the city." she beamed at him.

He smiled again at a thought. "The younger three seem to have adapted the fastest. A friend told me he had seen Brooklyn here, but I have not so I assume he has been allowed to return home."
no subject
"And you know, you're not doing so bad yourself. You woke up in a completely alien environment and still managed to protect your clan." she patted his arm soothingly.

Having her here had calmed him a great deal. He thought about thost first nights in New York. Awaking from a thousand year stone slumber, the attack on the castle by strange men with even stranger weapons, Xanatos' betrayal and the first meetings with Elisa. He'd had to adapt quickly, but it helped to have her there, to show him this strange new world. She'd been the only one he had interacted with then that didn't have her own agenda. He would not be able to voice how deeply he appreciated that and her.
"You did rather well with your first encounter with my kind as well." He noted, then added with a small smile, "After I returned you from you're fall off the building of course."

She...wasn't dealing very well with all the weird. But, she was dealing better than most ever could. It helped that the Gargoyle's were so very individual that they couldn't be a mere figment...and that yes, one of them in particular had saved her life.
"I'm never going to live that down huh?" she laughed at him.

"I appreciate that. There's no telling what the boys would do with that information..."
