Michael comes through the door, a tired but relieved smile on his face.
It's been a few days since the end of the fighting in his world. He'd opened the door for Rachel and Suzi to return, but he'd felt he should remain a little longer.
The nearly empty bar surprises him, until he receives a note from Bar saying, Go look outside, with a cup of hot cider and an oversized beach towel, the right size for two or three people to sit on.

"It's the Lake Party. There is one every so often, usually when people start feeling like they have been cooped up too long. Someone magics the weather warm and sunny, the lake a... so-called desireable temperature for swimming, for those who enjoy such things, and there is food and drink, and a bonfire at night. It is quite nice, mostly."
Except... he was so foolish, promising to swim at the next Lake Party.
Maybe Rachel's forgotten all about it.
Hopefully.
Not likely, Yrael.

He does ask Bar for a T-shirt and jeans, however, as he's dressed for winter
weather.
"How've you been otherwise, Yrael?" He remembers the last time they spoke, though he wouldn't be offended if the not!cat doesn't recall. It's been some time.

"I have been well. I recently went with a friend to her world, and saw parts of Greece and Japan. The sushi in Japan is utterly delightful. Now I come home to find..." He grimaces slightly. "I have never been swimming by choice, before. I dislike the water, but I made a promise to Rachel that I would swim at the next Lake Party."
Of course, when he promised that, he was thinking there wouldn't be another one.

Michael laughs, though it's not a mocking sound. "If I can bear it, you can.
I should learn, really." A red t-shirt, with short sleeves, appears on the
counter. He takes a moment to switch from his black trenchcoat to that.

Swimmer's rear, or something like that.
"Yes. I once was taken to New York for a night to have sushi, also. It was better in Japan. Also, I was with a friend, and not someone who was trying to bribe me to get me to leave him alone." Yrael grins.
"You really should. You can ask Rachel to teach you to swim, and thus distract her while I conveniently disappear." Perfect plan!

Or has already thought that Yrael might be in for a dunking, if lulled into complacency by a (seeming) accomplice beforehand.

Dunking him could possibly be dangerous.
"Not very easy to distract, but it is doable, I believe. Would you be up to it?"

"...I promised I'd swim at the next Lake Party, expecting there not to be a next one..."
He doesn't make many promises, and he usually keeps the ones he does make.
But.
Water. Augh.

"You'd rather argue with her all night than get wet for five minutes? Or bail on her?"

Michael just shakes his head, laughing. "You have either underestimated her or OVERestimated me, damn if I know which."

"Last one outside has to buy the beer," and he sprints for the back door.

It'd be something he'd do.

This is Michael's face after he falls on his ass. Wind knocked out of him.
