The beverage of the day is decaffeinated coffee. The seat of the day is a booth. The entertainment of the day is another game of solitaire. Of these three only the game fails, partially, at its function. James can't stop himself from indulging in occasional people watching. People can be more interesting than cards.

Look! It's a Vesper! Who is...trying to be sneaky!

"...You want to play a two person card game?"

"Can you play a two person card game?" he asks, smirking.

"Go-Fish, Old Maid, War-"

He laughs. "Christ, I'll have to teach you more than self-defense."

"That reminds me." Vesper says, "Give me time to change and tell me what you think I ought to know and I'm ready whenever you are for my lessons."

"You want to start now?" he asks, eyebrow raised. "Darling, you're going to have to give me some time to think about what I should teach you. At least a few days so I can form a lesson plan. And you need to tell me what it is you want to learn."

"-They say that when the student is ready the teacher shall appear." Vesper said, "...Although I confess that I sought you out-"

She sighed, "As to what I want to learn...what do you know? what do you think?"

"Well, to start with we'd have to get you in shape. Then it's really a question of how much you want to learn."

An eyebrow goes up, "...I'm not in shape?"

James grins.

And grins even wider.

"Well..."

Vesper makes a disgruntled noise, "...I suppose I can find a gym to lift weights. Or...some sort of physical activity besides running."

There is a pause.

"...Any other advice professor?"

"Besides being patient? I don't have any."

"Patience is a strong suit of mine."

Another nod.

"....And so I can wait. Other then this little plan of mine-how are you?"
