It's not every day in Milliways that she is completely and totally pleased with herself. But things went well - amazingly well - and the redhead comes down the stairs with a smile and a bounce in her step.

Both of these things could be attributed to a kiss by a bonfire the night before. And it would be a true attribution!

Let's just pretend it's as innocent as that and leave it there, mmk?

"Yeah, my job's kinda the same way." He nods. "But at least you got the know how to throw a bash of your own sometime. People could envy you for that."

"Well, you got the know-how to be the bouncer for my bash, don't ya?" she teases, grinning as she leans over to knock his shoulder. "I don't throw parties much myself. It's just-- work, y'know? I like it fine, but if I'm havin' a party, I'd rather someone else do it and-- I dunno, wait on me hand and foot or somesuch."

"Aww, does that mean if you do throw a party I'm gonna be left standin at the door instead of bein invited inside?" He asks with mock injury.

"...I'll bring you beers?"

"Beers an cake." He says firmly. "Or no deal."

She pouts.

"But how'll you be the bouncer with your hands full?"

"And a table." He adds, "An a stool too cus I don't like standing all that long. Then I got a place to sit, a place for the cake an beer, an hands free to toss folks out. Sound good?"

"This sounds like a lot more work than I bargained for," she informs him, frowning thoughtful and tapping her jaw with her fingertips. "You better just stay in where the party was, and close by so I can keep my eye on you. So you don't run low on cake and beer, I mean."

"Yeah, the point was sort of to cut down on the work wasn't it?" He agrees. "But don't worry, I been to a few parties an can behave myself pretty well."

"I'll believe it when I see it," says she-- though she grins for it. Not like she's been the epitome of politeness and grace here.

Maybe she can fake it really, really well?

"Well guess that means you're gonna have to throw a party an invite me then don't it?" He grins, wagging his eyebrows at her.

"Guess so! How many people you think are gonna fit in that little room of mine?"

"Don't know. There gonna be dancin or just sittin around talkin? We could always set people up out in the hall if we need."

"There should always," she says, specifically stressing the word, "be dancing at a party. The best parties got it."

He laughs, "Well alright then, guess we're gonna need room for dancin. Dancin, cake an beer, sounds like a good time to me."

"Sounds like we should get someone else t'throw it," she replies, laughing with him as she goes picking through her fruit bowl. "So you don't have t'bounce it and I don't have t'clean up after it!"

"Yeah, I think that may actually be the easiest thing." He sighs, "Too much work makes a party not so fun."

"True," she sighs and smiles when she finds an orange slice, biting into it before sucking out the juice. "Too much work and it is work and I won't get paid for it here!"

"Well way I see it we got two choices then. One is find someone else to throw a party and hope we get an invite. The other is to minmize an just go with what we want from the party anyways, that bein cake, booze an dancin. Sure we can find most of those here dont'cha think?" He grins at her, snagging a strawberry.

Eyeing him a little for stealing that strawberry - she's possessive of her fruit! - she grins anyway, tucking her hair behind an ear. "Should be easy to find, I'd think. Sounds like a better party, anyway - shorter guest list and that makes everthing easier."

"Yeah, an not like we were hopin for presents so it's not a problem if we don't get any." He eats the strawberry in a very smug manner. "So were back to just spendin time in the bar. You know, all in all I don't think it sounds like a bad idea."

"Well, there's no dancin' in the bar," she reminds him, though she hardly sounds upset about this. ...Much. "But I think I'd prefer it to a real party, either way.

"S'a good thing you don't gotta bounce the bar, anyway, or I'd never see you!" Too many fights around these here parts!

"Well maybe cus there just ain't been the right music for it." He suggests, "I know the guy who does the music set up here, maybe I could ask him to put on a song or two sometime an clear some space an see if that don't get a few folks dancing." Or at least they could is the suggestion that he's trying to convey with the smile he gives her.

"And yeah, way too much crazy around here for me to be wantin a security job." He nods. "Plus I called one of the security guys a jackass once and we ain't really settled that one out yet."

Bill gets double-giggles - for both of those subjects and the comments he makes on them. "Well, I'm sure he deserved it. Most law types tend to be jackasses.

"...'cept sheriffs, of course. They're just like- er... angels."

Really!

She definitely doesn't seem adverse to dancing either.

"Course we're angels. Though, to be fair I think the guy was on tofu at the time an I was frustrated trying to get help for my friend Rachel." He says, eyeing whats left in the fruit cup to see what else he might steal. "Now, as far as dancin goes I gotta warn you, I don't know anything fancy. I'm a country blue grass kinda guy. Not sure how you all dance in the future..."
