Moon Quake Shake
Blue Moon Martini
Full Moon Fever
Mun has just stood outside in the cold Irish night to watch a total Lunar eclipse, and so when Buffy walks behind the bar tonight, she scribbles up a rather meta-laced trio of Specials.
It's like a fun game!
Guess the theme!
"So, what'll it be?"
[OOC: As always, I'm here until I drop asleep. Feel free to threadhop, tag in and slowtime (as I'm liable to need to do it eventually, too~) or just tag-and-run. Tag tag tag! :D]

"Well, they all have alcohol in them. The 'Full Moon Fever' has the most; the 'Blue Moon Martini' has the least. If you want something that tastes kind of the same as one of them, but without alcohol, I'd suggest a cup of coffee," she says with a grin. "Or I'll mix up anything you want."

"A cup of tea, then. Less caffeine, less hangover."
She's not being condescending. Just trying to be helpful.
"Especially if you're not used to the cocktails we can mix up here."

"I-uh," Marian pauses, offering the strange small smile. "I wanted to try something new. I've been here a full week today. Maybe if you made a smaller amount of one?"
no subject
"That's okay: I can do that."
She checks the directions, and mixes up the Blue Moon Martini with a half the measure of the gin, making it up with olive juice. A little dirty, but less alcoholic.
"This is like the Blue Moon Martini, but I've put in less alcohol, and a little olive juice. Which will probably make it something like a Dirty Blue Half Moon or something like that. Should be okay, and not knock you on your ass."

She let in linger and then swallowed. It had a very dry reaction, and yet the flavor left was a little sweet, reminding her of her occasional medicine. She blinked, surprised, "That's very...different."
no subject
"Good to know it doesn't suck, though."
She takes a moment to scribble it down on a pad she has sitting by her hand.

Buffy makes a mental note to come downstairs more often than 'every Saturday night'.

She smiles, and puts the pen down.
"So, what are you a Lady of?"
no subject
"It's a pleasure to meet you."
no subject
"I'm probably the same, then. It's 2001 for me."

"Wow. The most 'in the future' person I've met, as far as I know, was like... a year or two."
no subject
"He came from Earth, too."

"I met a boy who claimed to be someone I've known all my life, but he wasn't. And he claimed to know someone with my same name for his, but I wasn't. It was, perhaps, the most disconcerting yet."
"More than the passed time or new things," Marian said softly, regarding her drink again.

She shakes her head.
"But yeah, I was told that there are different universes of the one place. One of the girls I used to know... in my world, she's in prison. But in her world, she's a blue-skinned princess on an alien world, expecting - or probably already had - a baby."
no subject
"That does sound rather confusing." Marian admits, trying to make her mind wrap around different universes. That was strange. "Was it hard to adjust to?"

"I'm not partial to running away from upsets." Marian shakes her head, the smile from the laugh staying quietly. "Maybe for a moment, but I have to tackle it head-on afterward."

She smiles.
"So, who was the guy? If he was claiming to be someone you were dating, he was probably just hitting on you."
no subject
"But, Will, he's too noble for that," Marian said, as much defending her version of Will as the Will she met. "He's a friend of Robin's. More an acquaintance of mine."
no subject
"Hopefully not hitting on you, then?"
no subject
"And much too loyal," she added as for thought. "Robin Hood is akin breathing to him. He could no more make a move against his thoughts or wants, than he could suffocate himself."
Not to mention she wasn't quite keen on her only opinions or emotions of Robin....but he, on the other hand, continued to make his case quite strongly. Even in just looking at her.
