Unsurprisingly, Sarah Jane is over by the fireplace today with a cup of tea and a plate of biscuits. Her notepad's opened up on her lap, but instead of writing, she's staring out at the fire and chewing on the cap of her pen.

There's a small smile on her face that may even be described as dreamy by some. If asked, she may deny it, but there's a good chance she won't. Havana aside, this past weekend was rather lovely indeed.

[ooc: the mun may dissappear due to dizzy spells. but right now, she needs a distraction from things.]

She chuckles. "And have opposable thumbs?"

"That too," he admits. "I also serve a mean chocolate shake, but most people are aware of that."

"Is that so? I haven't had a chocolate shake in...oh, I can't remember the last time. Certainly last time I was on Earth, that is. And not James' London."

"Care for one?"

He nods to the bar.

"My treat."

"Of course," Sarah answers brightly. "You don't mind?"

He shakes his head dismissively.

"I should hope I can provide a chocolate shake," he says, "considering."

Then he heads to the bar, returning with two such drinks before placing one in front of Sarah Jane.

He sits and settles the other in his hands.

"This was the treat I was given to make me feel better when I first came here."

Sarah Jane accepts the drink with a thank you, taking a long sip and grinning at the taste.

"It's a very good shake indeed," she says before launching into inquisitive reporter mode: "Make you feel better?"

He's a king at home. He's had worse.

Also? Friends with Ray Stanz.

"I came in on my wedding night. Without my wife."

"Oh."

Beat.

She tries so very hard to keep a straight face, but in the end, immaturity wins out and Sarah starts to giggle. "Oh, how totally awful."

His smile is something of a grimace.

"Yes, well, she did join me the next day in this place, but we were bound for more than six months."

"An extended honeymoon then?" Sarah giggles more. "An absolutely terrible way to find this place, I'd say."

He chuckles along.

"Something like that," he admits. "Then again, I did end up having to do something rather insane for us to head back to our world... where we didn't get any honeymoon, actually..."

Sarah nods, sobering slightly as she drinks more of her milkshake. But the grin's still there. "Something insane? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I sense a story here."

"I had to kill a God," he says, his tone utterly blank. He's not ashamed of it, as it needed doing, but neither is he proud. It's a horrible thing for a man to kill a God, really.

"I thought gods couldn't be killed," Sarah muses, watching him carefully. "How did you manage to do that?"
