And the left half of the bar is clear of empty glasses and dishes.

And the right half of the bar is clear of empty glasses and dishes.
And when we say bar, we're not talking about the long wooden thing, but the entire area of the building that would be considered bar proper. Not upstairs, not through any doors, but beyond that, all gotten.
And that leaves one happily smiling waiter standing with his tray at the ready, eager to serve.
'Tonight, your server is:Bart. Bother at will, he's ready for it.'
