[OOM: Poor, put-upon Danny.]

Tucker's been to Milliways before, but mostly under... interestingly unpleasant circumstances. This time, while he's technically here due to another crisis, the main body of the crisis is over and his only duty is to help prevent patricide. However, he can't very well be present during the first part of Danny's talk with his parents; that would just raise more questions.

Thus, there is a teen technogeek chillin' at the bar, attacking a very large plate of ribs and taking digital photos of anything particularly interesting he sees. (Mostly hot chicks.) Company welcome. (Especially if you are a hot chick.)

Cue one hot chick, in ripped jeans and tank top, weird colored hair, multiple piercings, evident and not, and some funky tats. "Y'know, usually this would be the point where I say, Take a picture, it'll last longer, but you look like you've got that covered."

"And how!" agrees Tucker, taking one last pic for good measure and not even trying to pretend the focus isn't on her chest.

Then he sets the camera aside. "Hi, there. I'm Tucker. What's your name?"

Her fingers curl, not in a fist, but in a strange hand symbol. It takes all of her will not to call something down on his camera. Besides, she's not sure she could pull it off that precise, quite yet. "Molly. You know, you have a great future as a creepy stalker to look forward to, you keep this up."

Tucker looks injured and indignant. "Hey! Do I look like a locker-shrine guy to you? I do not stalk."

"You just take a lot of pictures?" Oooh, that sarcastic tone! cutting, it is.

He holds out his camera so she can see the screen. "Look at this digicam! Quality hardware like this, it'd be a crime not to use it."

This might be a more convincing argument if it weren't displaying the last picture taken.

"Uh-huh." Her arms cross under her chest as she look at his face. Not his eyes, just his face. Still, it's a glare. "Kinda focused there, aren't you?"

A rather pretty young(?) woman is sitting nearby. There are a number of features that make her stand out not limited to the long black silk gown she's wearing, the sheathed sword (rather katana-like), the cup of hot tea that she's drinking, and legs to make a bishop kick in a stained-glass window. The woman didn't seem to be paying Tucker any attention as she read from a musty, thick book. She was tall, physically fit, with long dark hair and pale skin.

What Tucker doesn't know is that she's an ancient sorceress with powers beyond his wildest imagining who doesn't take kindly to oggling.

Go on, Tucker. Take the bait.

As a rule, Tucker is more actively interested in girls his own age, but that does not have to apply to photography. Also, the sword sets off his fanboy instincts.

She makes a very nice composition, actually. Not that he'd know much about that.

The corner of Lyrae's mouth twitched slightly. Imaging someone without their permission, especially a lady, was not a polite practice. Her steel-colored eyes flickered over to him for a moment, and then a soft light began to glow around her, barely perceptible at first, but growing into a nimbus of golden fire. The fingers on her left hand twitched in his direction as invisible threads of air snatched the camera out of his hand, bringing it to Lyrae's.

"Were you never told that imaging someone without their permission was churlish and indecent, Child?"

Her voice was stern and thickly accented as she snapped a rebuke.

"Hey!" Lyrae's action is exactly the one to bypass Tucker's sense of self-preservation. He hops off his stool and runs after his fugitive camera. "That cam's brand new!"

Lyrae's mouth twitched once more as she put up an invisible wall of air in Tucker's path to stop his flight, but not one too firm, it wouldn't do to be cruel.

"Then you ought not let your ability to capture images outstrip your courtesy."

Tucker runs smack into nothing that feels more or less like the gym mats, bounces off, and falls backwards over a chair on his way to the floor. Levering himself to his feet with the chair, he cries, "All right! I'm sorry! I'll erase the pic! Just please, I beg you, don't hurt the digicam!"

If Tucker ever considered Dani to be a "hot chick", Danny would probably kick his ass from here to Cleaveland.

"Hi, Tucker. Long time no see."

That would raise the weirdness of their lives to previously unheard-of levels. No thank you.

Dani's timing would be just right to induce a spit-take, except Tucker ordered a milkshake and it hasn't made it all the way up the straw yet. Instead, his reaction just makes the shake go bloop.

"Danielle? Hi! Danny said you were here!" Still startling, though.

She giggles. "Yup. He mentioned that you and Sam drop by here sometimes, too."

"Yeeeah, not much." Tucker waves a rib idly as he speaks. "This is like the second time I've been here when we're not smack in the middle of an emergency."

Dani briefly contemplates what might constitute an "emergency" in Milliways, then decides she doesn't want to think about it.

"Did Danny tell you about his parents showing up?" she asks.

"Heck yeah, he's down in the cells right now giving them a ghostly talking-to, 'fore he does the same thing as a human. I'm here to make sure he doesn't kill them or himself." He slurps barbecue sauce off his fingers and starts on another rib.

Zhaan's at the bar getting some breakfast after attending to her plants in the garden and greenhouse. Even if she doesn't fall under Tucker's definition of a 'hot chick' (though for a number of humanoid males, she does), she is perhaps unusual enough to be worthy of a snapshot. Though how she would react to a strange human teenager taking pictures of her is anyone's guess - it's not a situation that has come up before.

Tuck's definition of a 'hot chick' is pretty broad, and between that and the blue, this lady definitely qualifies as a Point of Interest. (Granted, a lot of ghosts have inhuman skin tones, but she doesn't look like a ghost at all. She's got a sense of solidity to her.)

The unfamiliar sound of the camera puts Zhaan on the alert, because in her experience, strange mechanical noises are often the harbinger of something bad. She turns just in time to see Tucker still holding up the camera, and gives him a questioning (and somewhat irritated) look.

Tucker holds the camera away from him to look at the display. It's quite a nice shot. "Cool!" He glances up and notices the blue lady looking at him. "You wanna see?"

"See what?" Zhaan asks, utterly perplexed. They have cameras of a sort, where she comes from, but they're so unlike Tucker's device that Zhaan's not able to make the connection.
