And Lo, there is, again, the same (un)loved pale girl, with her books, notes, and drawing pad. And of course, she must be again plotting terror and woe.

Or just reading and studying while inspiration does not strike for today's drawing session. One or the other.

[New PB, same pup. No, her looks did not change, just I decided she needed a human face.]

He glances at it and smiles approval, while studying the physical characteristics- size, musculature- of the dragon.

"Shame to see resources put to waste."

Not a HUGE dragon. probably one of the dextrous front paws could grab a human by the waist. The structure, proportions, musculature, are correct. "So, I use it for something more productive."

"You're lucky."

Although taking work occasionally offers interesting opportunities. Mostly, not.

"In the end, it's just gold. Only has value if it can be exchanged for something else, you can not wear it, can not eat it..."

"You can buy food with it which you do need to eat once in a while..."

Starving artists, not so much a thing where Telemain is from. He's the closest you get. And it doesn't get like that any more. He's old enough to be very comfortably established.

"I can eat things I can get for free." She really does not care much about riches at all.

"Not so the case with all of us."

He inclines his head.

"Perhaps in your case it isn't luck, then."

"In my case, it just... is. The way it is, and can not change, so I make the most of it."

"A sensible attitude to have."

He inclines his head.

"Congratulations. Get as much research done as you can while it lasts."

"I think I have the spell correct now. Just need to test it." And she needs a volunteer for that, which might be just the real tricky part to achieve.

Which Telemain doesn't do any more. Not since last time.

"I think I should think about getting to work, Ravin, if you don't mind. This does need doing."

Ravin just nods, and turns back to her drawing... they will have more chances to talk later.

Telemain sets to the final writing process.
