Karolina has been assured that she doesn't need to hide who she is around here, and she's too used now to not glowing like a portal sunlamp with every thing she does. But she did find some Earth clothes upstairs, and now as she comes down, she's in tight fitting blue jeans and a light, summery halterneck, from under which she still trails out waves of light. Also, her feet only touch the ground occasionally.

Taking a seat at the bar, she looks around interestedly, partly at the people as a whole, and partly because Molly said Gert and Chase and even Victor were here somewhere.

No Nico, though.

She's glowing. That's, like, the most awesome thing ever!

Jason is staring absolutely unabashedly at her.

Oh, hey, it's a kid! Karolina likes kids. Or she tries to, anyway.

She grins at him.

"Hi there!"

"Did you know you're shinin'?" Jason demands, big-eyed.

"Yeah," Karolina says, glancing up and around awkwardly. "I knew."

"How come?" is the prompt reply.

Awkward as it is to have the questions, there's something... adorably Molly-like about his frankness, so the smile stays, and even widens a little.

"I'm an alien."

Okay, what Jason said earlier about that being the coolest thing ever? That was a lie. Because this is the coolest thing ever, for REAL.

"...wow," he breathes. "C'n you change shape too like the Martian one?"

If Karolina had been drinking, she would have choked on it.

"No," she says, "but I can fly."

"So can he," Jason says, dismissively. "He dunt glow though. How do you sleep like that?"

"It's not as strong at night," Karolina admits. "And I can turn it down now, if I want as well."

Jason waits expectantly.

There's a second while she figures out what he's waiting for, then runs her hands through her hair.

She doesn't need to, it's just how it's done on the TV, and she'd rather got used to having her bracelet.

Then, starting from her face and running down to the extremities of limbs and hair, she forms a rather solid, non-glowing sixteen year old girl.

Jason still thinks she's pretty, or at least, he's still staring.

"You can shift shape!"

Clark has barely started his first cup of coffee of the day, so he's a little bleary eyed yet. It's hard to miss Karolina, though, and he actually has to do a double take to make sure it isn't Kara gone supernova or something equally worrying.

"Hey," he offers once he's shaken himself back to reality, such as it gets passed for in Milliways. "You're new here, aren't you?"

"Yeah," Karolina admits, grinning awkwardly at him, and rubbing her neck. It's still strnage to have so many people starting conversations.

"I'm Karolina."

Even in Milliways a glowing girl stands out.

"I'm Clark. It's nice to meet you, Karolina," he replies, giving her a small smile. "Have you been given the run down on where you are and how things work around here?"

Karolina nods. "My friend gave me the low down. Magic bar. Some sort of fund for kids. No sex or violence."

Unless it's Alex and she has to stop Molly putting him through a wall.

"You've got friends here? I mean, people you knew before you came here?" Clark's smile gets a little broader. "I had a friend of mine bring me here my first time. It's good to have people around you know you can rely on in a new place. Especially one like this."

"Yeah," she says. "It is. Especially a friend like Molly, who I've already been through everything with."

"Molly?" He gives Karolina a closer look, guessing her at being a few years younger than himself. "Younger than you, dark hair, really strong?"

"Yes." Karolina grins wider, fond. "You've met her?"

"Once, yeah. She was playing hide and seek and happened to be hiding under my table. She mentioned you, now that I think of it."

"Really?"

It's not surprising, really. But still, Karolina's curious.

"What did she say about me?"

"She mentioned the glowing and that you were an alien," he shrugs, almost apologetically. "I got her to talking about her powers and her friends and I think she got a little carried away."

"That's Molly," Karolina says fondly. "Talking's her other mutant power. And the ability to win any board game ever invented."
