If Sam never sees another catfish ever again, that'll be perfectly fine with him.

Perhaps especially not a giant spinning catfish -- which, as it turns out, isn't actually supposed to be spinning.

This would be why Sam is currently hunched over a table, poring over a collection of books, notes, his laptop, and John Winchester's journal, trying to figure out how on earth to exorcise a possessed statue of a fish.

As far as he knows, Dean's still back in the hotel room, laughing himself sick.

Raven just grins back at him.

"You are looking for phone numbers, perhaps?"

"More like antidotes to spinning catfish."

Yes, he's perfectly serious.

Raven considers this.

"Eating them is not so much for helping?"

"... it's a statue of a catfish," Sam clarifies.

Raven blinks again.

This blink would seem to say 'so?'

He is complicated like that.

... right.

"Yeah, that's probably not gonna be the best plan."

[creator_raven]

"Turning things to powder is also often helpful."

Surely they have hammers where Sam is from!

Sam straightens abruptly.

"You know, that's not a bad idea."

[creator_raven]

Raven grins.

He has teeth. They are very white.

"Sometimes that,too, is a thing that happens."

[gavemea_45]

"Well, however it happens-- thanks, man."

He grins at Raven.

"That's the best plan I've heard all night."

[creator_raven]

Raven laughs.

Then, very carefully, he flicks Sam's forehead.

"Some things I am very good at, perhaps."

Beat.

"Teaching is one of them. So."

And then, in a flash of black feathers, he's gone.

Dramatic exits are, apparently, something else Raven is very good at.

It is a thing.
