*Fate breezes into the bar as breezily as a smug being like Fate can breeze. Which is to say that he blows through the door in the form of an unusually cold gust of wind before solidifying into a seated figure at the bar, not that he enters cheerily and casually. After all, that is much harder.*

Ryoga narrows his eyes. "I wouldn't really know."

As a rule- Ranma doesn't enjoy eavesdropping. But this last bit of overheard conversation surprises him. He isn't sure how this stranger knows who he is, but that's not really as big a deal as it might have been if he were still back in Japan. So this man knows who he is.. so what? It's hardly the strangest thing that's happened to him recently, not by a long shot.

Ranma knows he should make himself known - part of him suspects that the stranger knows he's listening, and it makes him feel bad - but he finds himself wondering nervously what Ryoga's answer will be.

"Found -- ?!" What the hell - was Ranma spying?! Ryoga glances around to try to sight him.

Feeling rather like a kid whose fingers have been caught in the proverbial cookie jar, - and wondering if his cheeks are burning as red as they feel like they are - Ranma steps from behind the back of the booth where he's been standing out of sight.

He steps forward, unsure of what to say.

"Were you eavesedropping?" Ryoga demands. Not that he has reason to be annoyed - there wasn't anything that private that could be overheard.

The tone in Ryoga's voice causes Ranma to bristle.

"Not on purpose," he retorts, wishing not for the first time that Ryoga didn't always immediately go on the defensive with him.

"Not coincidential at all." Ryoga crosses his arms and looks at Ranma for an answer.

Rather than attempting to come up with an excuse Ranma side-steps.

"I don't believe in coincidence anymore.." he replies, avoiding Ryoga's gaze and fighting the urge to cross his arms as well. He glances instead at the stranger, wondering just how much the man knows about him - about them both. He's beginning to suspect more and more, that he knows a great deal.
