((oom medical student Martha Jones meets a very interesting 'man' known only as the Doctor))
Martha opened the door of the Tardis and looked out at the bar in confusion, this was it? Her one trip? He was taking her to bar, he could travel through time and space and this was where he'd chosen, well that was a bit of a let down.
"Um Doctor?" she said turning back but seeing no sign of the Tardis, "Doctor?!" she said again, this time a little more panicked.
"Great, he's dropped me off in a bar and left me, so much for this being a thank you," she muttered to herself.

She smiles slightly at the mention of the free drink, "that makes it a bit better then. Oh I'm Martha by the way, um stupid question maybe but where I am?"

"The end of the universe," she repeats, oddly enough that makes this a little better he's not just taken her to some random bar it's a bar at the end of the universe, which she has to admit is pretty cool.
"When you say end do you mean in terms of time or space?" she asks, clearly Doctory things rub off pretty quickly or maybe the weirdness of the situation is yet to hit her "or is it both?"

"But I'm not lost," she protests, "I was bought here by the Doctor, or at least I thought I was, but since I don't see him..." she trails off.
"Every world? Do you mean like different planets and everything, because that is what he told me he'd show me, but I sort of assumed we'd be going to the actual planets, not wait for the people from those planets in a bar."

"So you're saying I've been pulled here and the Doctor might not even know where I am? Great, just great. I only agreed to this trip because he said he could travel in time, I really don't have time to be staying in a bar at the end of the universe, I have exams!"

Still, it's Martha's clothes that are really getting to her. The fact that she looks like she's from James' time and that means she's after her and --
"The Doctor?" Sarah finally forces herself to ask. "You're looking for the Doctor, aren't you?"
no subject
"Um yeah that's right," she confirms, the question only making her even more confused, because a) she could have been looking for anyone and b) how can someone else here know the Doctor. "He promised me a trip in his Tardis then I end up here, apparently without him. You're not Rose are you?"
no subject
She takes a step forward, offering a hand in greeting. "I'm Sarah Jane Smith. I travel with the Doctor."
no subject
"Right sorry, I thought with you knowing the Doctor..." she says sheepishly.
"Martha Jones," she replies shaking the offered hand, "I was meant to be traveling with him too, only I ended up here instead and there's no sign of him now. He told me he wasn't traveling with anyone anymore."

There's worry in her eyes, and she glances back at the door again. Despite everything, there's a part of her that always wants to be there for the Doctor.
Still. "Were you in the TARDIS when you wound up here? Because that happens to me most of the time. There's a door in there, at least for me, and it winds up here even if it probably shouldn't."
no subject
"Is something wrong?" she asks, noticing the glances.
"Yeah I was, he promised my one trip for saving his life I opened the door and here I was. I hope he's not going to count this as that trip, I mean when you're expected the whole of time and space a bar's a bit of a disappointment you know? Even if it is impressive."
no subject
But she can't imagine it would be her choice. Oh, alright, maybe it would be. After all, James and a normal life and just for once not getting covered in some sort of alien goo... But he's her best friend. She'd never leave the Doctor alone like that.
"Anyway, Milliways is much more than impressive. If you really do want all of time and space, well, you have it right here."
no subject
"I was on the moon before I came here, it just seems a bit wierd waiting for the whole of time and space to come to you, I mean the moon was so beautiful, standing up there it wouldn't have been the same just to meet someone from there, you don't get the whole experience."

Ace fails at keeping order.
"Geeze, greedyguts, you'd think we never feed you lot."
(ooc: Yay Martha! I meant to tag earlier, but the computer had an small crisis)

"What's a kong?" she asks looking up at the woman, "and all of these yours? I didn't they allowed dogs in bars, health and safety and all that. Um not that it bothers me!" she adds quickly.
((not a problem, not toally sure how long I'll be around for, but slowtime is our friend))
no subject
"Oh, you must be new." She concludes, since dogs in a bar is hardly the great health concern around here.
That'd be the curry, yes.
"Magic, take Rasia an' Stepan outside, would you? No mud puddles!" She calls after the three retreating dogs. It's probably a vain order - Magic is magnetically attracted to puddles, Ace suspects.
"So, new then?"
no subject

"That's how it goes. A lot of folk are regulars, but new people show up all the time. This is Milliways, a pub built right at the end of the universe. It connects t'all multiverses, so y'never really know who's goin' t'show up next."
Ace believes in the 'sink or swim' theory of life.
"I'm Ace, resident British pyro, among other things."
no subject
"Martha, I'm a medical student in London, pleased to meet you. Do you always introduce yourself as a pyro? I mean doesn't that get you in trouble?"
no subject
The Doctor, Martha has to admit, is very good at causing distraction, even when he isn't there.
"The Doctor? F'serious? I am behind the times, I thought Rose was still with him. Unless you're from an earlier version... what does he look like?"
no subject
She nods and smiles in a dreamy way, until the mention of Rose at least, the Doctor mentioned her in a way she didn't like very much. "No, he was with her. I'm not sure what happened he didn't say, but he isn't with her now. Neither I am really, it's just one trip he said, so I was hoping for somewhere a but more exciting that a bar even if it is at the end of the universe. But to answer your question he's got short brown hair, wears converses, quite cute. Wait sorry an earlier version?"
