She'd been watching the stairs for just this chance. From her table (http://www.livejournal.com/community/milliways_bar/1758498.html?view=66794274#t66794274) with Joe, she shifts into her swarm-of-bats form and they fly at Anthy to batter and bite at her, swarming around their victim to keep at it.
Val looks over from where she's working with her garlands again. "Frell! Mina!" She's seen the bats before, and runs over, trying to get in the bats, talking as loud as she can. "Mina! Dont' do this! Please! I don't know what's going on, but stop!"
Nick...heard Meg scream. He heard Meg scream and he can feel hate pulsing at his skin, beating at him like a rock in rough water. He's in flight a second later, and he sees the problem heading straight for Val and Meg (and Anthy)...and gets in the way.
*Meg, catching on, grabs Anthy and shoves her under the nearest table, planting herself in front of it. Her voice is so shrill that the windows in Milliways are probably in danger of exploding.*
Nick absentlly grabs a bat from the pack that are swarming and makes a tiny wound with one fang before taking a sip...and it tells him what he needs to know.
He flys between Mina and Meg before addressing the largest conglomeration of bats.
"Mina, really. This is foolish and uneccessary. Please stop before you hurt Meg or Val or anyone else. I like you. I don't want to have to hurt you."
"What's with the flying vermin", Asar-Suti says casually, coming by to collect swarming bats from the air. He'd rather talk to people, but these creatures make a terrible hgih-pitched voice so you can't hear yourself. He has a bunch of bats clenchend in his left hand like a bunch of very, very irate holly twigs, and keeps adding the ones he catches, grabbing them all by a wingtip.
He sees Meg. Somebody he knows. "What do I do with these?"
Val looks, from the god, to Joe, to the bats, and puts her hands on her hips, in an unconscious immitation of Frustrated!Meg. "People, all of you! Stop! This is no frelling way to act! Put that gun -away-, Joe. Asar-Suti, these bats are actually one of my friends, and I would very much appreciate it if you would realease her. Mina, STOP IT! Calm down, Everyone!" Her voice is commanding, stern, but also quite frustrated.
*Meg's voice rises even shriller. She glances over at Andrew, her face anguished, then away - there's no time for that.*
If you want to stop her stand around the table, she's going for Anthy, if she can't get at her maybe she'll come back to her senses, and Joe you want her back to her senses so just do it!
Asar-Suti catches one of the flying, swarming animals from the air and looks at it; it bites him on the finger.
In his boooks, that's no fitting way for a mere animal to treat a person, let alone a god, so he starts picking them out of the air, holding on to them by the wings.
There are always odd things happening in this bar.

"Mina. This isn't wise."
He's rather calm, honestly.

He looks at the animal balefully, not going to risk his fingers again.

-- the hell? Anthy?
*He shouts at the swarming bats:*
Leave her alone!

He doesn't look happy. But does he ever?
He gets up from his table and approaches the group. His hands are by his sides. Just in case.
