[OOMs: In a Coruscant art gallery, Atton (after a tiny bit of persuasion) gains himself an ally. On some far flung Outer Rim world, Bob does the same.]

Atton's sitting in a booth, not looking especially pleased with anything, really. His fingers are steepled, and bright blue sparks are jumping from them, and he's frowning. He hasn't stopped frowning for quite a while, really - Trouble seems to keep stacking up.

He's trying to immerse himself in reading a book (the cover appears to just be plain grey, with no markings, so it's difficult to tell what it is) but it's not working so well. The book was meant to be funny, but Atton doesn't much feel like laughing.

Botherable.

"Well is there likely to be anything I can do? Because I have a strong desire to cause contusions to this guy's gluteus maximus."

"Apart from help Sam get better? I don't think so. Not unless he needs medical aid."

"Fat lot of use I am to you two." Guppy says crossly, his anger not directed at Atton. "I can't help solve the problem, only attempt to repair the mistakes. And apart from likely drug reactions, which I can look up, a lot of the stuff I do doesn't apply to you. "

"You're a friend. We don't keep you around because you're useful - Even though you are. Bear in mind I would've died if you hadn't patched me up."

"You'd have been okay. You have fancy healing powers." But he is mollified a little.

"Sorry. I hate not being able to do anything."

"Fancy healing powers that I wasn't able to use, yeah." Atton replies.

Guppy hugs Atton.

"Well if there's anything I can do, let me know. I might be able to get hold of some anaesthetic gas."

"That could be useful. Ask Sam about it, see what he thinks." Atton grins.

"I will when he's looking perkier. I can't imagine he'll want to go back immediately."

He slips into the chair next Atton.

"What are you reading?"

"Bad romance novel Bar gave me. Thought it would amuse me."

Beat.

"It didn't."

Guppy nods.

"You probably need to be in the mood for it."

Beat.

"I only woke up once last night." he adds, feeling that Atton would probably like some positive news.

"Well, that's good. So I take it you're sleeping better, in general, then?"

"Well, it's early days. I didn't sleep a wink the night before last, before the trial. But apart from being concerned about Sam most of my sources of worry went down with the two Lamberts who got prison sentences."

"Well, that's something at least. And Sam will be alright," Firmly. "He'll heal." Atton hopes.

"Well if he doesn't, his healing factor isn't working, and I'll try and sort him out, er, manually." he says for want of a better word.

"And yeah, I thought it would be good to have some good news, even if it is early days."

"Yeah. Like I said, my healing powers aren't working on him - This is the first time I've tried to heal him, so I'm not sure if that's normal or not."

Atton nods.
"And yeah, I appreciate it."

"Maybe there's an incompatibility between your powers. I mean, maybe his defences block your healing."

"Maybe. Not much point speculating, really."

"Actually I disagree, speculating is the first way to getting ideas. We should ask Sam when he's feeling up to it if he knows why. If it's a defence mechanism, he may be able to give you access in the future. If you're going asskicking together, it may be important."

Atton gives Guppy a slightly wry smile.
"I'll bear that in mind."

"Sorry." Guppy grins sheepishly. "Just getting carried away, I don't really know anything about healing factors."

"Y'don't need t'be sorry." Atton smiles.

Guppy hugs Atton tight.

There's a bit of flailing (it's the standard reaction to getting hugged a lot) before Atton hugs him back.
