Matilda is in the bar, sitting in a booth with a copy of Matilda and several notebooks.
She appears to be translating it into Sindarin.
Occasionally she lets out a giggle. Roald Dahl is funny.

Intrigued, he quietly slides into the seat next to her, attempting not to disturb her work.
"Hello. I'm sorry to interrupt, but may I ask what language that is?"

She indicates the cheerful-looking open picnic basket of cookies beside her notebook.

"I'd love to try one, thank you." Cheerfully, he picks up a biscuit and takes a bite, eyebrows raising a bit at the rich, buttery taste.

Matilda would have found it useless to leave out the bits about how smart she is - it's more than obvious.
"Ah, that's wonderful! Would you mind terribly if I borrowed it?" He realises this is a rather forward thing to ask of someone he just met, but the people here are friendly, and it's not as if he could take off with it, being Bound.

As one person with books to another, she waves.
"Want a biscuit?" she calls, indicating the open picnic basket of cookies that sits invitingly on the table beside her notebooks. Chocolate chip!

"Oh," she says, "that's very nice of you-- sure!"
She picks her way towards Matilda's booth and deposits her books on the empty seat opposite her.
"I'm sorry," she adds with an apologetic smile; she wasn't invited to sit, after all. "They were getting very heavy."

It strikes Ami as vaguely familiar, but she's always been more of a math and science person.

Tyler creeps around, munching on of the cookies Mrs. Wells was letting people taste-test. The script she's writing in looks interesting and well...alien. "Is it an alien language?"
