Happy 10nd birthday, Enzo!

[OOM: Resurrection and pirate party!]

Enzo Matrix has been charging back and forth between the Bar and the back door all morning, fetching bowls and platters for the adults to arrange on the tables out back.

He looks a bit different today, in a couple of respects. Firstly, he's almost two inches taller and, whereas before he looked about-nine-or-ten, he's now clearly about-ten-or-eleven. Secondly, he's got a new outfit...

Now, finally, it's all ready! Enzo pelts back into the barroom, bellows "PARTY TIME!!" and heads back outside.

Gigglin quietly, Matilda leaves a small, brightly coloured package decorated with a ridiculously huge fluffy bow. The tag says (in binary-encoded ASCII, because she thought it would be funny) "Happy Birthday, Enzo! -Matilda".

TK wasn't very sure what to get a two-year-old. It's been a whole six years since he was two, so he doesn't remember much about it. But he does remember that he liked to annoy his parents by taking his brother's harmonica and playing really loudly and tunelessly.

So there's a clumsily wrapped harmonica on the table now, much like his brother Matt's, with a neat "Happy Birthday! From Takeru Takaishi" on a tag in Japanese.

He hopes Enzo likes it.

As he was lacking in manipulating appendages at the time he went home, Ray's going to have to do some interesting things with 'scoot forward, then move back, then hit the brakes really hard' in order to toss the collector's edition copy of TRON (with action figures of all the major programs in the movie!) out the back hatch and onto the table. Thank God for inertia, huh?

Ever since she got the invitation, heck ever since Dot told her that Enzo's birthday was coming up, Dani's been wracking her brain trying to figure out what to get her friend for a birthday present. Especially with her extremely limited funds.

The frame on it came from Bar, as did the the green and black wrapping paper. Dani just hopes that he likes her handdrawn picture of the two of them. She worked very hard on it.

Wes isn't a kid in the strict definition of the word; he just heard "party".

He can't actually stay for long (bartending shift, you know), but he wanders outside long enough to steal some food and deposit a pile of Oreos and a small stuffed Ewok on the table.

Bruck comes up to Enzo, and notices something...very different about him. "Hey, Enzo. Happy Birthday." He has a little package in his hand, about the size of a large hardback book, perhaps a bit larger.

"I don't have a proper present for you, Enzo," says Dorothy apologetically. "But I did bring these..." She sets a large wicker picnic basket, covered with a checked cloth, on the table.

Tyler's present is wrapped up in the User-world Sunday funnies and ut clucks around inside really weirdly...

Don't mind him as he hovers nearby for Enzo's reaction, he couldn't BUY anything since he's running low on funds. Stupid boundness thing.

Tom leaves his present -- inexpertly wrapped in tissue paper -- on the table, to be opened at Enzo's convenience.

Hopefully it's as funny to a ten-year-old program as it is to a full-grown human geek.

Mary's box is very carefully wrapped in green paper. Because . . . well . . . Enzo is green. It seemed obvious.

Inside, there is a small slingshot. Mary had had to make a new one for herself, anyways, and after a great deal of thought, she'd decided that there really wasn't a better birthday present.

Barbara's got a lot on her plate these days, but not so much that she can't deliver a present in person. She waits for things to calm down a bit and then rolls over, a neatly-wrapped box in her lap.

Tommy's mun, unfortunately, was unaware of the party until this evening because she has been HELLA BUSY with work. For the same reason, Tommy and Kira never got to formally discuss what Enzo's birthday present would look like. Oh well! Things'll work out in the end.

"Happy birthday, Enzo!" Tommy cheerfully holds out a long, flat package, wrapped in suitably festive red paper and with a large gold bow on top. The Ranger himself is wearing a black suit, black shirt and black tie -- pure coincidence that Reefside High's Winter Formal was on the exact same night!

At least he looks suitably spruce for Enzo's party?

You give presents to the guest of honour at these parties.

Too bad Strahan came a bit empty-handed.

However, when you have magic you can make things on the spot.

So. What would Enzo like to have? Or see? Or...?

This one's obviously from Danny, seeing as the wrapping paper's covered in pictures of his dad...

Actually, further inspection will indicate that it's from Danny and Tucker. One card, two notes:

- Sorry about the Fenton-Wrap. It's all we had in the house. Actually, pretty much all the paper in the house has my dad's head on it. Anyway, like I said before, Dot and Bob and all of them are totally proud of you, I know it. And considering when I first met you, I just thought you were some goofy kid, and now I know what you're capable of, well, I guess I'm a little proud of you, too. Take it from someone who knows a little bit about saving the world - you're definitely a hero. Happy Birthday, Danny.

- Danny pretty much said it. Great job on the world-saving. Our video of the explosion's got 52,456 views as of this writing, so thanks for the material! Happy Birthday, Tucker. P.S. Remember, you still owe me a visit to cyberspace.

Once Jack Fenton has been shredded into little bits, the package contains a plastic hemisphere about a foot across, covered in little holes; a second, similar hemisphere, but hollow and without the base on which the first rests; and a sheaf of star charts.

Inside the giant box that Toki had been lugging around, were individually wrapped boxes. Inside were:
14 model airplanes of various sorts.
4 model cars, 3 of which were Dethklok-licensed
2 RC cars
And a card that was signed by the entire band (at least, signed by people who did good forgeries) with well-wishings in Norwegian.
