She's okay for the most part. Not too hot... not looking like crap like before. If Sam hadn't of been there. But he was. Going over to the bar counter she orders a cup of hot chocolate then goes over to a chair and curls up in it. She figures drinking hot chocolate and curling up with a good book will keep her mind off her nightmares. Off the way she feels when she has them. So far it seems to be working.

Whether it stays that way or not... is a whole other story.

"Hey, that was a front page story," he chuckles. "But yeah, she ropes our other friend Pete into it too for a while. I think she was half hoping we'd be taking classes together in college, but it didn't work out that way."

"Does she enjoy what she does now?"

Clark grins. "Chloe lives and breathes journalism. And coffee, but mostly journalism."

"I think I could do without the coffee. For me its hot chocolate." She tells him with a grin of her own. "She sounds like a neat person."

"She is. Seriously, if you see her around, you should say hi. She's small, blond and usually attached to a cup of coffee and a laptop."

He hesitates before adding, "Just maybe make mention you're not Lindsey right off, if you do."

"Take it something bad happened to this girl?"

"That's kind of complicated," he says slowly. "But basically, yeah. It did."

"Lives can be like that." After all... she's dead.

So's Lindsey. Twice.

"Yeah, they can. Anyway, it's not like she'd take anything out on you because of it, it'd just be a little weird." It's weirder for Clark, but possibly he hides it well.

"Don't worry. I'll make sure she knows I'm not her. That way nothing can go wrong."

"The less confusion the better, I think," Clark nods.

He pauses again for a moment. "I wish I had some better suggestions for you. But I really sort of can understand, so if you ever just need someone to listen, I'd be willing to do that."

That gets him a smile, a genuine one. "Thank you, Clark. I really appreciate that."

"You're welcome," he says with a similar smile.

"Anyway, I should probably be going for now. I can only put off chores for so long, but I'll see you later, okay?"

"Don't work yourself too hard." She tells him. "And, yeah, I'll see you later."
