(no subject)

Jed's hiking outside. Chilly or not, he'd started to feel a need to be out of the bar itself for a little while.
He had a coat, and boots that were better suited to autumn weather than his usual suit or dress shoes.
A pebble had gotten into one, and he paused to yank the boot off and shake it out. His fingers felt stiff. He swore under his breath, then looked around, a little guiltily.

Madolyn is bundled up as well, given the fall weather, dressed in a black peacoat and a red scarf. It's nice outside. She notices Jed after a moment, and makes her approach.

"Hello."

She returns the smile, and, figuring she might as well get introductions over with now, offers her hand. "Madolyn Madden, Boston 2006, psychiatrist. You bound?"

"I suppose, in my case, it's more of a collecting-my-thoughts thing. Being relatively new can scramble your brains. How long have you been bound?"

Whoops. Faux pas.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I just assumed, given the general lack of doors in the bar. And I thought, if I felt tired of the bar, I'd go home and have myself a cup of hot chocolate."

She shrugs noncommittally.

"I guess I could see why people might want to stay. But, as they say, home is where the heart is. And yes, it is currently, well, was, winter in Boston. To say the least, it was quite cold when I left. How was D.C. when you left?"

She takes a moment to consider a response, raising a hand to her mouth.

"I think it's a very nice place. People here are so good, it's hard to be scared after your first five minutes here. I get the impression nothing intrinsically bad would ever happen here."

Ginny smiles looking at him, walking over "I won't tell, you said a bad word"

Ginny smiles giggling "I think its okay. you don't look that old. Our old head master was 115"

"I'm doing good. But he was killed or he would have been older. How have you been?"

She puts her hand in his "That sounds like a good plan"
