Multi-pup post
This is a really bad idea.
I'm not very good with the patients back home, now I bump into my predecessor at Life Support at the end of the universe and he thinks I should run his clinic a couple times to get my confidence up.
So now I'm sitting here with this sign, feeling a total wally. At least he's only over there, sipping a pepsi and probably laughing at me, so I can send anyone over I can't handle or... isn't human.
Toby looks somewhat awkward as he sits in Guppy's usual spot near the infirmary. But at the same time, it's sort of nice to be trusted with it.
Walk-in clinic
The doctor is in
***
About ten yards from Toby, far enough away to give him space but close enough to be frantically waved at if he gets out of his depth, is Guppy. Who is drinking a pepsi and learning his lines for the staff pantomime.
Either entirely botherable.

"That's Toby, my successor at City. He reminds me of me when I started out, except..." he's thinking less competant, but that sounds mean "Less big-headed than I was. He turned up at Life Support, no idea how long he's been here. Poor kid's confidence is through the floor, I'm just trying to perk him up a bit."
Waving the lines. "Staff pantomime. Do you remember me doing one last year?"

"That's right. We can't have been this close or I'd have brought you back to see it." A grin. "I got a more glamourous role than this year."

"Ello Gu-- I mean Hi"
Yeah smooth one Weasley. Call some one by another's name.

"If you want Guppy, he's over there."

She smiles.

"Nice to meet you Toby, No I'm not. Am I keeping you from sick people then?"
no subject
"You're a friend of Guppy's then?"

David stops, looking at the sign, trying to wipe off his glasses on his shirt, which is only resulting in them getting bloodier.
"Do you have any towels I could use?"
no subject
He gets some sterile dressings out and passes them to David.

Pause.
"Zombies happened. Would you happen to have anything bigger? I'd like to get more blood off before I apply the bandages."
no subject
"Zombies? Like... real ones?"
He passes more pads.
no subject
"Yes, real ones."
And David starts cleaning off his face.

This is probably said more cheerfully than it should be.

Toby's never had a dead patient still talking to him before. He checks the list of things Guppy gave him to get started.
'1. If necessary, provide first aid.
2.Take patient's history. Don't forget to ask about species...'
After a moment, he writes down 'Dead' next to patient history.
"So... are you sure you're dead? I mean, you're still bleeding."
