X-23 doesn't look particularly tired as she makes her way through the back door.
She is sweaty, though, and there's a little bit of blood on her hands.
That's the trouble with claws.
And barehand punching of wooden dummies. Or trees. But you work with what you've got, right? She's learned that lesson well.
She's also learned to get food while she can, which explains why she's ensconced in a booth, one foot resting on the seat. Her hands are busy with a glass of Coke and her salad fork.
In the long run, that may not mean anything.

She was also sitting in the booth next to X.

"Hello."
As far as opening social gambits go, this one probably isn't too bad.

"You smell like Will."
no subject
"...." Yeah, Kate will be blushing and facepalming right now. Having no powers herself really sucks sometimes. Especially with nosy mutants.

She does not look curious at all.
"It is mine."
The blood, that is.

X is being completely honest.
She wouldn't know sloppy fighting if someone told her she had to for the sake of the multiverse.

One of her own teammates, such as they are, is blind.
She frowns slightly, studying Reba.
"You do not see the future?"

X sounds sure of that.
Unfortunately she fails to connect it with anything else.

*He doesn't say anything, though.*

Plus she can smell him.
This might explain why she looks up, head tilting.
"It is mine."
Just so he does not think she is violent.
Um.
no subject
*A beat.*
...you okay?
no subject
Or she would if Andrew had experience in reading her body language.
"Yes."
Beat.
Beat.
"Are you?"

This doesn't discourage people watching and chatting, of course. Quite the opposite. Security has to foster good relations, after all!
"Hello," she says brightly.
no subject
"Hello."
Beat.
"You are a mutant?"
The smell isn't right, but--
no subject
"I'm a griffin. What is a mutant?" Certain aspects of Earth science and culture had migrated into her world. That was not one of them.

snikt
"I heal."

Doesn't necessarily draw worrisome conclusions from it, but notices.
His eyes flick to X-23's hands, then her face, as he passes; it might be a greeting, of sorts.
no subject
"I heal."
It might be meant as reassurance.
Beat.
"Hello."

She came in from outside.
