From a plain, dim corridor lit with flickering candles, the light and noise of Milliways is startling, to say the least. A tall, thin man dressed all in faded black glances around quickly and warily, before tilting his head with a small, inscrutable smile. Well, well.
He makes his way in, upright, but supporting himself on a thin cane, and sits in an out-of-the-way booth, to look around with an air of mild interest. A rat scurries up to provide him with coffee. (Black.)
And there he sits, soaking up the familiar, half-forgotten atmosphere.
Do come and exchange pleasantries.
[OOC:Going out for a few hours in just a minute, but I'll pick up all slowtimes as soon as I'm back.
Back!
And gone again, for sleeps. Slowtimes, yes? :D]

The Goth king would not normally speak to any random stranger in passing, but this morning, he woke to find himself once more able to speak normally*. The curse has lifted, and Teja can actually utter casual, harmless sentences again, so he does so, more then usually.
* What passes for normal with a terribly tragic hero from a terribly over-written historical novel from the 19th century, that is!
[[OOC: Mun must run and do three or five things in RL, but simply couldn't resist Havelock Vetinari!]]

"Good morning," says Lord Vetinari politely. In Milliways, it tends to be the path of least resistance, he's found.
[OOC: No problem. I'm in and out myself today. :D]

Not a single wanton alliteration anywhere...

It tends to throw off his day. Besides, he does frequently worry that Leonard will, against all the odds, manage to follow him.

A mangy looking coyote is sitting at his feet, looking up. He smells really familiar.
"Surely it has not been so long?"
[OOC: I really should not be doing this at work. But I cannot resist.]
no subject
"Ah, Coyote. Apparently so."
By his tone, you'd suppose that one runs into old friends in one's personal past all the time.
[OOC: :D!]

"Puck and Lilly may be very displeased to see that you age faster than the children." To say nothing of herself.
Not that older and distinguished is bad. Rrowr.

"I don't intend to trouble them. I fear it could cause problems," he says dryly. "Tell me, have the twins been named yet?"

Unless he has suddenly sprouted an astonishing ability as a make-up artist as well as a cane and a goatee.
She continues looking askance at him. "And yes. Some time ago, I believe."

Not that he'd admit to anything.
no subject
He'd be the first to admit to it, really, even in Ankh-Morpork. Far from giving himself away, it just tends to worry people. He likes that.

Since he already put in his order before coming to sit down, it's not long before a waitrat comes scurrying over, with a plate of steak and eggs, and a mug of ale.
no subject
Which... would be why he makes use of a similar system in the Palace.

Molly's sleepy right now, and is in her pyjamas, but is curled up in a nearby booth with hot chocolate. She's looking at him curiously over the head of her Doop plushie.

She thinks she's slightly nervous, but isn't sure why, and quickly shrugs it off as being silly. So the eyes looking back at Vetinari are entirely fearless and still bright with curiosity.
Eventually, "...Are you a goth?"

"I do not believe so," he says. "Why? What does it entail?"
Always ready to learn!

Well, Molly's only ever met the one.
"And having awesome shoes."
