Spoon is flopped on the ground in front of the fire, covered in dogs. He's good with that, really. Spoon likes dogs. For those of the canine (or just cuddly) variety there is plenty of room to join in the pile.

There is always room for Cora, there is. Spoon frees an arm and tugs her in closer. Hallo, Cora-me-luv. "How are you today, Cora?"

"Is cold," she replies factually and nuzzles herself in comfortably. "Am g-well."

Then, after a brief pause to check her words against his.

"I am also well." Spoon assures her, grinning and putting his chin on her head. Going to need your help, though. Want to help me make a surprise for Ace?

Okay, the nod is mostly verbal, because she's very comfortably tucked and doesn't particularly want to move. Can do that, I think. I mean - yes, okay.

Right. It goes like this, then. In a couple weeks I'm going to ask her to marry me...so that there is the paperwork saying she's family too. It's up to you and her if she's your mum after that, not me. I'm going to need to make arrangements at our favorite restaurant. Need you to distract her while I make the telephone call.

Spoon then grins, although Cora won't be able to see it, And I need you to come and help me pick out a ring for her.

Oh, she perks up a bit. Is keep a secret a bit - can keep a secret. Promise! And - and can do busy things with tugging in other directions.

The nod is more of a wriggle this time, but it doesn't move too much.

"Evening, Gibbs." Evening Gibbs! Snowflake pulls herself out of the pile and rests her chin on his foot. "How've you been?"

"Things have taken a rather unexpected turn. Captain Turner - Mrs. Captain turner, that is - has invited me to join her crew. We're in the course of sailing to Nassau at the moment." Gibbs looks pretty close to content.

"Huh." Spoon nods, "Sounds like fun. Still going to get back to England at some point?"

"Haven't really thought about it of late. She needs to learn how to be a pirate, I think, and how to be a captain, and I might be busy for a while." He smiles a bit more. "Even if it's bad luck and all," he adds.

"Eh." Spoon says, "You'll be a good teacher, I think."

"I hope so. I'm too old to have my reputation ruined by the Pirate King herself." He is a little nervous about such things. "She has a fine ship, too, but it's a junk. Stands out too much in the Caribbean and we might need to find another ship."

It's pretty much up to him. Of the mound of dogs (and werewolf) by the fire only Josip and Stepan are all-the-way awake, and they're the least talky of the dogs. They do wag once, however.

"...Napping?" Spoon says after a minute, "Stepan, Raisa, Josip, Snowflake, Turlough, Magic, and Leela. 'M Spoon."
