It's been a while.
A long, long while.
That doesn't mean Matilda has forgotten.
Bright hazel eyes and a bright, adorable smile greet the main bar as she peeks her head around the door and then walks in.
Brightly.
"Hot chocolate?" she asks the Bar, giving the polished wood an affectionate pat. "And... golly, it's been so long... fried pancakes?"
The requested items appear.
"Thanks very much."

It belongs to a young, blonde woman with a laptop and a friendly smile.

Mug in one hand, plate in the other, she takes a few careful steps towards Sally's table. Meeting new people is fun! If she's rebuffed, she can always walk right past and have a seat at that empty booth.

"Lovely to meet you, Matilda. I'm Sally, and if you've give me just a minute to clean up my mess," she saves her project before shutting and closing the laptop, then stacks the book on top of it,
"I would be delighted to have company."

She stands behind a chair, gives it a short, wry glance that somehow encompasses her two full hands--
--and the chair pulls neatly out from the table, allowing her to sit, by which time there's enough of a clear space for her to set down pancake and chocolate and pick up her fork.
"Nice laptop you have there. Dell Inspiron? What model? One of the nine thousands, I think."

Now? It garners a, "Neat trick. That'd be helpful when I'm carrying too many things."
"Yeah, I think so. Not all that up on computers, you see, but I needed one for my job."
Beat.
"You wouldn't happen to know anything about them, would you?"

In the three courses on computer science she's taken so far. What? It was an interesting subject, and most of them run half-terms.
"What would you like to know?"
Tilda has been discovering that she's an excellent tutor.

Nathan had his arms folded in front of him sourly.

Tilda waves cheerfully. Tilda does everything cheerfully, really.
"What's your name? I'm Tilda. Would you like some hot chocolate?"
no subject
"I'm Nathan, and I guess." Casual shrug at the idea, like he wasn't sure about drinking with some silly girl.
no subject
"Nice to meet you. Bar, hot chocolate for Nathan, if you please? Thanks ever so."
no subject
"Hey! How did you do that?" He climbed up on the stool to sit, and patted the counter for hidden doors.
"Where's the mirror?"

to Danielle Fenton's 13th birthday party!
25 February, in the main bar.
It's decorated with clip-art of balloons and an unfortunately pink cake.

Blinkblink.
"I recognize the technology," she murmurs to herself, frowning a puzzled frown, "but not the name."

The mystery will be easily solved by showing up to the party.

"I remember you," says the redhead sitting nearby with the slightly blurt-y tone of someone who's been mulling over this for... okay, a couple seconds BUT THAT'S BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE DOES.
See? Good thing. Less people to confuse her with.
Well, and also, little girls generally shouldn't be in bars, but Milliways is a special case. So is the little girl, if he recalls correctly.

BEAM.
no subject
Said hot chocolate appears on Bar, and there is MORE BEAMING. :D!
"I don't think I remember your name, though. I-- er-- have a really bad memory?" There is a decrease in beaming at this. Or an increase in awkwardness, at least.
And also, it was quite a while ago. Linguini remembers it as being a name that was very appropriate for a super smart kid, but that doesn't really help us at all, now does it.

Tilda has a good memory.
It's a genius thing.
no subject
"...Yeah!"
He does figure it's a genius thing, but he's still practically beside himself with glee what with being worth keeping in her humongous genius brain and all.
"Matilda! I knew it was something like that."
...he did! HE TOTALLY DID

"I'm Luke Smith," he offers as compensation.
