So, Chase agreed he'd have a go at reading 1984, given how great Gert said it is. And, good to his word, he has.

He hasn't got very far, but you get marks for trying, right?

The book is currently sitting pages down on a seat, Chase having got distracted with bouncing a rubber ball off the rafters.

Across the room, a small window pwings into existence above the bar.

In obedience to an unheard command, a waitrat climbs up onto the bartop and gives the window a shove.

The window, wobbling slightly, glides through the air, crosses the room, and smacks gently into the top of Chase's upturned head.
