So, Harth had been leaning on Bar - on his left arm, the right shoulder's mostly healed, but still painful - feeling bored after the other day's action.
But then a napkin appears in front of him. He stares for a second.
Says, "Seriously?"
The answer, apparently, is yes. Seriously.
With a grin, he vaults over and ducks underneath to rummage around behind the bar, bringing out a cocktail recipe book. He flicks through a few pages, mostly in the section beginning with B.
"Leave it in my hands," he says, all but rubbing his hands together and cackling, and grabs a piece of red chalk and heads for the Specials board.
HAPPY HOUR - Half off
Bloody Brit
Bloody Mary
Bloody Maria
Blood of Satan
Bloody Surprise
Taste one without asking for the recipe, you can have it free.
Occasionally, as discovers new ideas in the book, between serving people, he writes new names on the board. Icluding some he makes up. Fear.
[OOC:On pause for half an hour while I grab dinner. Back soon!
And as of 02:50am GMT, I am GONE and bartending is closed. Slowtimes all around? Good night!]

The universe, as everyone knows, is not.
After all, despite not being able to forget a series of events he'd rather forget, he had, on the other hand, forgotten Susan's date.
By now, he was hoping to just get drunk enough so that it wouldn't hurt as much when he got back.
"Don't have to tell me the recipe, mate, but I would like something really strong."

Not helped by the fact that Harth has his own system of measurement.

Bloody Mary's were always nice to drink in airports, if only to disguise the sheer ugliness of them.

He grabs a martini glass, then shovels some ice into the shaker, before ducking behind the bar to find the other ingredients.
When he strains the drink into the glass, it's bright red, and clear.
Also? Strong.

Richard took a large drink out of the glass with no reserves. He was the sort who could take his drink
rather like one memorable hobbit. Setting the glass aside, he rubbed his face with his hands and attempted to look like a man who was having a normal day. Then failed miserably, when remembering that he was not one who came by normal days very often. In fact, normal days becoming more infrequent as the days came by, rendering them rather abnormal as a result.
He supposed this frightened him. To his state of mind and to the state of his life.
"I haven't seen you around before." he commented idly to the man on the other side of the counter. "Richard MacDuff." He would be shaking hands, except he was holding his drink rather like his life would depend on it.

The Pirate King paid for a room for a night or two and feels much better though he's still not going to deal with the Major General and Frederic's smugness just yet.

Only people who actually annoy him get the nasty surprise drinks!
Oooh, tabasco sauce. How much of that was he supposed to use again?

There's a hint of music at his name.

"...'Kay then, your majesty."

Then pauses, eyeing the Milliways whiskey selection, which suddenly appears to be bending the laws of physics slightly.
"Uh," he says, over his shoulder. "Got a preference?"

He peers at it, then shrugs and reaches for a tumbler, tossing it idly up and down before opening it to pour, then slides it over.
"Here y'go."

She eyes some of the new names written on the board, beneath the original five.
"I'll try that third one from the bottom."

"Sure thing!"
Where'd that bottle of chilli vodka go?
no subject
"Yeah, that one. Sounds interesting."

Harth grins and squeezes two lime halves into a shaker. Superstrength - not just for fighting, anymore!
"Should be. I've been reading this book for awhile now. It's good!"
