Today had been a bad day so far- well it had started off rather well before he had found his jumpboots missing. After hours of tearing his room apart the boots were still missing which had boggled his mind to no end.

So, after coming down the steps into the common room, George Luz in his besocked feet climbed onto of a table before clearing his throat. "Excuse me! Sorry to bother everyone but has anyone seen a pair of military style jumpboots? Brown, worn down, sized nine like everyone else in the rest of the Army runnin around here? I'll buy a round of beer for the person that manages to return them."

There's a cat, innocently chewing a shoelace.

A cat chewing on shoelaces is loud and, well, can be heard if it is anything like the pets Luz has owned over his lifetime. Droping back to the floor he leans forward and peers under the tables seeking out the source of the chewing.

Could it be his boots came to life and were gnawing at a chair leg?

Mine

The cat shoots out, carrying a boot.

"AH! Boot!"

And the race is on.

Luz darts forward trying his best to grab ahold of one of tha laces that goes flying out from beside of the cat near Superman diving for it.

Of course with tables in the way such an action would be chaos for all those around. Poor table. Poor chairs.

The cat runs under Guppy's table, causing him to dive out of the way.

"SCAMPI, SIT!" he yells.

Surprisingly, the cat obays.

And the barefooted not so graceful former paratrooper skids to a half right at Guppy's feet. You'll have to forgive him because it's been over 60 years since he had to be graceful while diving.

"Scampi." He says as he glances up grabing ahold of one of the shoes lacs. "Is it a cat or a dog because if it's a cat I've never known one to play fetch before."

"He's a cat, but he likes to compete with the dog."

Guppy gets to his feet. "Sorry. Scampi, bad cat! No stealing."

"Barrowing then- though how he got them out of my room I will never know."

Peering at the cat a little he soon offers a wide little smile. "Of course if a certain blond had gotten ahold of them it would make perfec sense, right, Scampi?"

But that was yet to be seen.

Tugging at the boot to try to get it free from the cat's mouth he laughs. "Is there a release button for him?"

"I doubt he did, he can't open doors. Scampi, drop."

Guppy gives the cat a Look, and the cat drops the boot. Guppy passes him a biscuit.

Sitting up and slipping on the boot is the easy part and the laces, all 13 eyelets, are done up quickly with a skilled hand. "Well I do thank you for finding one of my boots though the other seems to be avoiding me all together."

Then standing Luz offers the cat's owner his hand. "Name's George Luz- don't think we've met before have we?"

"Not sure. Guppy Sandhu, nice to meet you." He shakes the hand.
