Tonight, just out of the office and practically glowing with glee, you have a green COMMAND.COM at the bar with two boxes, one small, one rather large which soon get set down upon the surface.

"Bar? Could you deliver these invites to Ray Stantz, Tommy Oliver, Suzi and Whistler, Danny Phantom, Tucker Foley, Sam Manson, YT, Hiro Protagonist and Barbara Gordon?"



"And deliver the rest of these to everyone else in the Bar that Bob and I have ever talked to more than once."



Both boxes disappear into the Bar's surface and are replaced by a napkin soon filled with writing.

anything else?

"Yes, could I get a large salad, two c-loin steaks, an order of paradoxes, some chips, 2 energy shakes, an order of cyber-fries, 2 bowls of RAM, and some fruit to convert into digitized form?"

eating with Bob?

"No, this for me, I've been hungry all cycle. Oh! And a mug of Ray's Green Stuff."

After a long pause the order is delivered on severals trays which Dot carries over into a booth to devour. So long as you don't take her food, she is totally botherable this evening.

The passing Guardian raises an eyebrow at the food spread across Dot's table.

"And you complain about how much I eat?"

"So we're both eating for two now. I've been craving a meal like this all cycle." Dot says around a gulp of the green stuff.

That's a lot of high-energy food there cheif.

"Especially the salad with ranch dressing."

"Figures you'd get cravings for a food that doesn't exist back home..." He leans over to give Dot a peck on the cheek before sliding into the seat across from her. "So how was your day?"

"Fun, if a little tiring." Dot smiles, twirling a forkful of salad at him. "Got the wedding invitations today and sent them out to everyone at the Bar. For both the ceremony and for the reception afterward."

"Did we ever figure out what kind of cover story we're gonna use for the people coming from Milliways?"

"Well, since your parents know most of your friends, I'm going to have to bluff a little." Om nom nom. "For the most part, they'll either be my good friends and business contacts, or friends of my father and mother that I've kept in touch with over the cycles that moved away after the explosion."

"Wouldn't the rest of the people in Mainframe know most of the sprites from the Twin City, though?"

"Not everyone, and you know how binomes are at remembering and organizing things. Besides that, most of the binomes who knew my parents personally, along with their friends also moved out."

The perks of knowing the people who populate your system.

"They did?" Blink. "Huh. I didn't know that."

He reaches across the table to snag one of Dot's chips.

"...holy dogcow."

"Enzo, it's just pregnancy cravings."

How that was said perfectly through a mouthful of digitized ranch salad, the world will never know.

Dot does however look up at him appraisingly.

"That's all for the baby?!" He's still boggling at the repast. "Dr. Sandhu let me help feed his sister; she ate like this much." He gestures to indicate the size of the bottle.

"Enzo, babies have to be fed repeatedly." Dot says patiently. "They have small stomachs, so they're constantly processing food. He probably has to feed her every two microseconds."

A moment's pause.

"You've grown quite a bit in the last compilation I see..."

"Ooooh." Beat. "So this is for, like, all cycle, right? You don't have to eat like this every couple microseconds?"

He beams and stands up straighter. "More'n .05 pixels! Not as much as on my birthday," he admits.

"This is to get me through the night." Dot smiles. "After the baby's born I'll eat a little less, depending on a couple of factors."

"True, but it is bit more than your previous between-birthday compilations."

"A little less?!"

He smiles even wider. "I've got a lot of growing to do!"

"Remember how the end talk of how alpha-versions are compiled grossed you out?" Dot says pointedly, gulping down some green stuff. "Those will determine how much I'll have to eat afterward to recover."

"Quite a bit, so keep working on those levels."

Enzo thinks back to The Talk. What was the last... bit... "Oh, ew!"

How about staring? Is staring at Dot's food okay? 'Cause that's what Dani's guilty of doing right now.

"Wow."

Staring is alright. The chips and fries are safe to snag nips from, but stick you hand near the salad and steak at your own risk.

Good thing Dot works out or there'd be a serious pudge problem later.

"Mhmmhm. Hi, Dani!"

Well, Dani won't snag nips unless she's given permission to do so. Just to be on the safe side.

"Hi, Dot," Dani replies. "How's it going?"

And is there a polite way to ask if all of that food is for one person?

"Pretty good, the wedding invitations were sent out today." Dot smiles. "And I dropped a few boxes off at the Bar. What's processing in your life?"

Possibly. Perhaps the best way is to straight out ask, since she -is- in a happy mood.

"Not much. Thanks for the birthday present, by the way." Comics from Dot and Enzo's world are pretty cool, she's discovered.

"...are you...really going to eat all of this?"

"Well I'm glad you liked them," Dot says...as the salad has now been decimated, without a single leaf surviving on the plate. The steak is mostly gone as well and she's on that second shake.

"Well I might stop after a few paradoxes and chips, you're welcome to a few of those if you like."
