Since he's on the run from SHIELD with boy genius Amadeus Cho, Hercules was not expecting the door he opened to bring him to a glorius bar.

So the 6' 5" tall barrel chested man (wearing a big yellow and green sash and, well, skirt combo) pauses, looking around for a moment. Then, with a mighty laugh, he walks straight up to the bar.

"A cask of thy finest ale!" he orders. "For it is glorious of Olympus to bestow such a gift on the Prince of Power as this tavern!"

[ooc: Here he is... Mister Hercules. Have at him in the bar proper, now :D]

"Only as much as the man is ancestor to the man." Fury says with dry amusement, "I am Sir Nicholas Fury, late of 1602. Most here seem to be familiar with a version of me from America in the 1900's."

Uh huh. Sir Nicholas shakes the offered hand carefully. He's wearing armor, after all. "Such things are, then, common?"

Uh huh. Between his current Earth and the people he's been meeting here, Sir Nicholas is half wondering if lobotomizing is common in the future. He can handle witchbreed, and other species, but he is a member (if not in great standing) of the Church of England.

Demigods are not within his worldview. "I see." is his only comment.

"Only the one from the myths of the Ancient Greeks." Sir Nicholas says without heat.

Uh huh. Sir Nicholas nods again, in a non-confrontational manner., and murmurs, "As you say."

"My beliefs are my own." Sir Nicholas says firmly, "And in a place such as this they are best to remain my own."

"All things are possible in terms of perhaps." Sir Nicholas says. It is not, at any rate, the who he disbelieves. It is the what.

"I have heard variations on that." Sir Nicholas allows. To wit: that his counterpart is an asshole.

It works.

"He is not me." Sir Nicholas says with a shrug, "I will take no more credit for his good deeds than I will blame for his evils."

"I served my Queen." Sir Nicholas says quietly, "I served my people." It's a lifetime of war; starting and stopping them. A lifetime of spying, of assassinating, of risking his own life and the lives of others. It's one moment of walking through a portal to save the rest of the world.

But his words are enough for him. Sir Nicholas is a proud man, but not a prideful one.
