Since he's on the run from SHIELD with boy genius Amadeus Cho, Hercules was not expecting the door he opened to bring him to a glorius bar.

So the 6' 5" tall barrel chested man (wearing a big yellow and green sash and, well, skirt combo) pauses, looking around for a moment. Then, with a mighty laugh, he walks straight up to the bar.

"A cask of thy finest ale!" he orders. "For it is glorious of Olympus to bestow such a gift on the Prince of Power as this tavern!"

Demeter feels a pang but curiousity wins out,

"How did he die? I don't wish revenge just knowledge since our worlds are similar but quite different."

"He sacrificed himself to free Alexander, son of Ares, from Amatsu-Mikaboshi," Hercules says.

Its a long time before Demeter answers, its hard to think of a world without Zeus and she squeezes the olive branch she's holding so tightly, it produces ripe olives.

"It is possible he still lives," Hercules says. "But he has not been seen since."

"If he lived, you would know."

That's just how Zeus is after all.

"I try not to think of it that way," Herc says.

"How do you think of it?"

"I wish to honor my father, of course," Herc says. "But I also wish to maintain hope."

"Hope is precious. I'm glad you still have it."

"In dark days, it is sometimes all we have," Hercules says.

"Spring will return again."

"You would know," Hercules says with a smile.

She gives him another look,

"Don't be insolent."

"...I meant no insolence," Herc says, confused by the look.

"Its no matter. I'm glad you're well."

"I am glad for your thy wellness, too," Herc says. "Tis always good to see my family."

Demeter might not agree with that statement but she does nod and kiss him on the cheek before turning to leave.
