Bob and Dot's Milliways reception

After the stress of the past month and the hoopla of the past few days, Bob and Dot both agreed that they wanted to keep things simple for the Milliways reception. No fancy decorations, no elaborate catered meal--just a friendly backyard barbecue.

Thus, there are a number of picnic tables set out between the back door and the lake. On the closest table, marked with a single cluster of balloons, there's a album full of JPEGs from the wedding, and a guestbook for today's guests to sign. The furthest table is laden with a large, but not extravagant, assortment of picnic foods for both sprites and humans. Next to that table is... well. They allowed for some extravagance, at least.

A VidWindow hovering at the nearer end of the arrangement reads:

"Barbara!" Dot waves from beside the grill. This must be the fourth time she's had to refill her plate. Ofcourse...if it were able to HOLD MORE FOOD that wouldn't be a problem. "Come, sit, eat!"

Red is going to kill Enzo.

Hellboy arrives at the party late. Why late? Well, because it's hard to find a tux that'll fit on a frame like his, that's why.

Bar was kind enough to help supply him with one but he was on his own getting into it. So now the big red monkey is in a big black monkey suit and it's all Enzo's fault.

He is wearing it with style though, gotta give him that.

Bob, who is currently taking a break from manning THE GRILL, quirks an eyebrow at Hellboy.

Of course, given the presence of a certain girl with him, you might have some ammo of your own.

Optimus Prime drives in, in vehicle mode, towing a trailer.

Well, it's an easy way to get the gifts in, isn't it?

Once he gets to the gift lodging, he detaches and transforms, rummaging inside the flip-top of the trailer and retrieving a bottle before walking towards the party.

"Congratulations," he says when he gets close enough to be heard.

"Thanks!" says Bob. He eyes the bottle in the mech's hand. "Is that more liquid energon? We finally cracked open that cube you gave me for Christmas at the bachelor party..."

There's an excessively bright flash. When it fades, you'll see Foxtrot grinning at the happy couple from behind an oversized, old-fashioned camera.

"Great! Needed that for my scrapbook!"

Because the mun is kind of at a loss as to how to segue or set up another meeting, let us assume that Enzo catches Foxtrot elsewhen during the party, mkay?

"Foxtrot!!" Incoming! "Isn't it awesome?!"

It's just as huge and ridiculous-looking as it was on Bob's birthday. And, again, Bob is the one doing the grilling.

Order some food or just stare in awe.

Ever since the first newspapers appeared in the 18th century, there has been a tradition observed by reporters the world over: never, ever pass on free food. It doesn't matter than Knox barely knows the groom, has never met the bride, and has no clue about sprites or computers in general. The food is not merely free. It's barbecue!

Ridiculous, and something every human male on Earth would fight each other to own it.

Rad's simply chalked it all up to the biological need for food.

Putting his gun away [well, there are other days for target practise], he heads instead in the direction of the Godzilla of grills to meet and greet with Bob and Dot.

Free food is the golden invitation for Big Appetites to mosey their way over and try and get some edibles for themselves.

So what if he barely knows Bob, and Dot not at all?

Ray Stantz

Being a little bit strapped for ideas on what to get them himself, Ray made a few arrangements in his world awhile ago. He got the idea from his sister wearing a blue glass marble painted to resemble a globe as a pendant. Dot's getting earrings and a necklace; Bob's getting the best belt Ray could find in the Garment District, with a circuit board buckle, and a similarly designed tie clip and cufflink set. You can't wear armor all the time, right?

Men in Black aren't big on parties and weddings. But in addition to two rather distinctive letters that just sort of appear in the guest book when no one is looking, a moment later there's a small black box on the gift table.

That would be a flash drive compatible with Mainframe (even Zed isn't sure how the techs pulled that off), with the digital equivalent of tape reading, 'Break in case of an emergency.' At which point a port will appear providing secure but direct access to a swank (and roomy) hideway chateau deep within the MiB computer infrastructure.

Because you never know when you might need the ultimate safe house.
