Here is something!

Strolling nearby is a figure who very nearly blends into the night. It's dressed in dark blue and grey, caped and cowled; the only bit left uncovered is the eyes, and even those are hard to see.

Tanya is used to looking for hard to see things; something draws her attention, and the woman sits up, watching the figure approach.

The most visible part of the figure in this light is probably the pale logo on its chest: a stylized capital R with an eye in the upper loop.

When the figure's close enough, it nods at her. "Evening, ma'am," says an amiable baritone.

Tanya does a mental note at the uniform and logo. Another 'hero' or 'superhero' type, most likely. She nods back. "Good evening."

The young woman is dressed in her own peculiar way: BDU pants, a black tank top, combat boots, and her tactical belt, that holds her two pistols: tanya is hardly ever unarmed these days. She is also wearing short finger gloves and a wristwatch.

Oh, very heroic; the muscular build would support this, too, as well as the ever-popular utility belt.

Her outfit isn't so peculiar; he's seen similar walking city streets. (Well, apart from the visible weaponry.) However, the ensemble isn't usually so... complete when it's worn as a mere fashion statement. This is functional.

"Nice view," he says, inclining his head to indicate partly the scenery but mostly the sky.

She nods, hands resting close to the guns. Not agressive, just.... ready and alert. "Yes it is. Very quiet here."

"And warm. It's February at home."

"October for me. From where you are, and when?" Again, straight into Milliways Basics.

2007. Earth, United States. I know that's a wide field; I get around a lot. You?"

"Germany, 1953." She gets up, moving closer and offering a hand. "Tanya Adams."

He shakes it firmly. "Revenant. 1953, huh? Good year for music."

"Ah... my 1953 is a bit... or a lot, different from how 1953 was in most versions of earth. Or so it seems, from talking with people here." Her own grip is firm, her hand calloused... Tanya is a woman used to hard work, it seems.

The calluses can't be felt quite as clearly through his glove, but the firmness of both the grip and the hand itself are noted.

"I take it you're not talking about music here?" Although the failure of a certain young singer from Tupelo to emerge could be considered a pretty major difference, depending on your priorities.

"There was no Hitler, the Nazi Party was outlawed and dismantled in 1923. Germany turned to democracy. Last year, Stalin attacked Europe with his Red Army." World War Two happened with a decade and some of delay...

The Revenant's masked brows rise steadily during this. "Well. That sounded very good until that last part."

"He razed half the continent, we fought him into a stalemate, but we are still outnumbered four to one." Tanya shakes head. "And come next spring, he will probably just march his army over our defenses."

The Revenant nods solemnly. "Where are you stationed?" he asks.

"Frankfurt. I am Special Forces, work behind enemy lines sabotaging and spying on them." She nods back.

"Nice." There's warm approval in his voice; espionage and sabotage are generally inclined to reduce total loss of life (and they're fun, too). "Does access to this place help?"

Tanya almost smiles, nodding. Milliways has been a great help. "Helps me not burn out. We run missions weeks long with only a few days of rest between them. When I go back, I will be checking Soviet outposts near the Rhine, for the locations of their new submarine pens." With proper rest, she can do her work faster.

"Have you considered obtaining special resources here?"

"Special resources? Like what?" She was offered help, but she can not reverse a 4-against-1 numeric disadvantage with Milliways patrons.

"As I understand it, Bar can procure almost anything, and what she can't, another patron might. You have access to materiel from across time and space and a wide variety of universes. Must be something that can give you an edge."

"Maybe... but how I would explain it? And why people would even give me guns? Why they would even believe that they should help in any way?" Even if she did find some people willing to help.

He nods. "That is a problem. But I was thinking less of guns and more of, say, espionage equipment. Do you do solo missions?"
