Compared to the last time he put in an in-community appearance, he's much more relaxed than before.

Blowing shit up is good for the soul, no matter what bleeding heart pacifists say.

Enjoying a quiet drink in a quiet sector of the bar, is a Matrix. Being quiet [yes, he can do that—just not often].

Familiar company's fine, and will get conversation from him.

Unfamiliar company will get the "don't speak much" Matrix.

[And the mun makes two announcements. First, the overdue announcement that Matrix is under new munagement, in the form of his original mun. Second, a huge thank-you shout-out to the generous LJ Fairy who gave him a blessing of twelve months' paid time. We love you, but Matrix would like to say that he's a one-woman sprite, so no gratitude dates for you. Mun will just e-mind your e-babies.]

Here's some familiar company right here, sidling quietly up beside him and leaning against her lover.

"You're looking better."

Leaning AndrAIa gets no complaints from Matrix. It gets encouragement.

"Feeling better too."

About two thirds of this is now because AndrAIa is here, as opposed to being post-shoot-em-up pleasantness.

Don't worry; the other third is catching up to the first two.

She snuggles into Matrix a bit, enjoying the closeness.

"I missed you."

In all probability, aside from the Daemon fiasco, the pair have probably never been separated for more than a handful of hours at a time.

Slyly, he asks, "Which 'me' did you miss? The 'me' before that bear got me, or 'me in Mainframe'?"

He might just have an arm about her now.

"A little of both, I think," she states while settling under the arm.

"Although...that kiss may have made the whole bear thing worth it."

Unable to hide that smug smirk, he agrees, "Possibly the only real good part about being cheerful against my wishes."

They should do that again.

Totally.

AndrAIa's looking a little smug herself.

"Mmmm. Definitely a plus."

It might even be arranged to be done very soon.

Unfortunately now he's got other things on his mind.

"Speaking of home, what's been going on in Mainframe while I was here being eight bit and cheerful?"

Damn mood-killing intrusions...

"The Neo-virals have been suspiciously quiet the last few cycles, but other than that, Mouse and I have been trading off on night shifts and paperwork.

It'll be good to have you back to take on some Game shifts."

Picking fights with them might be fun, but the whole point of dealing with those binomes is to keep them from becoming more trouble than they currently are.

"Could use some activity," he agrees, sounding happy at the prospect. "They'll do."

It's not that he enjoys Games, it's that growing up in them made him even less of the sit-still sort. He needs activity or he goes haywire.

The Game sprite smirks at her lover.

"Good, 'cause you're on extended night shift until further notice."

Oh really?

"That busy for that long, eh?"

He's smirking that sly smirk.

"It'll mean I'll be away for several microseconds, you know."

Still smirking, she snuggles into the larger sprite some more, running a hand along his thigh.

"We'll just have to make the most of the time you're around, then."

Playing innocent, "What would you suggest we do, then?"

More mild groping from the Game sprite.

"Well...for starters, we could try that kiss again..."

Is she allowed to do that? Groping? In a public place?

"Sounds like a place to start."

At present rate, they may have to move this elsewhere.

There are children in the audience.

"Well then Mr. Matrix," she all but purrs while trailing a finger along his chest.

"Why don't you lead the way?"

Who did AndrAIa say were the pussycats, again? What with her almost-purr?

"All right."

Any complaints will just be ignored. He is inclined to enjoy some quality time with his beloved Game sprite.

A chaos virus is in the rafters above him.

"So, what do you think about Daemon?" she asked.

She is still pissed off.

Were his arms as long as they are thick, he'd ~~look more like a gorilla~~ be able to reach up, grab Hex by her neck, and yank her down. All without leaving his seat.

"Shut up, Hex, or I'll do it for you."

"Good," she said, "You are feeling better."

She kept her distance.

"I just wanted to see how you were doing."

"You saw."

Seemingly of its own accord, the cyber eye is switching back and forth between "targeting" and "non-targeting" modes.

"Now delete your internal mapping code and get lost."
