Mallory is not sulking.

No.

It's more of a pout.

Her time here with Ryu on their vacation had been wonderful, but all good things must come to an end, eventually, and it's time for them both to go back to their own worlds for a while.

It doesn't mean she has to like it.

She puts her arms around him in a warm hug, and sighs.

"I guess this is it."

Ryu holds her close, and strokes Mallory's hair. "This is the moment where we pause our vacation, and go home for a bit. I am definitely not 'ending' anything." The shinobi kisses her, lightly at first, then deeper. "Next one will be in Tokyo. I will start preparing for it, freeing time."

"You'd better not be ending it! I'm not done with you, yet!"

She says it with a grin, kissing him soundly.

"I'll look forward to seeing the village. And you, again, of course."

"Well, I have to visit my uncle Murai next week... it is a highly ceremonial affair, a family tradition of honoring the elders. But after that..." She is kissed again, this kiss full of promises.

"Am I going to miss seeing you in kimono?"

She is willing to bet he manages to look incredibly hot in traditional clothing.

"No, because I will be dressed that way while we visit Hayabusa Village." He chukles and nods, kissing her cheek. "And you too... hmm...a light pink outer kimono, over a red one. Somehow it would make you look even hotter than usual."

She grins. "I get to wear one, too? I hope you'll be able to help me get into it."

Now she'll be thinking about him in a kimono until she sees him again. It's a very nice mental image, indeed.

"Hmm, we will have to chage at my house in the city, then. My aunts would be rather scandalized if I did it for you while in the village... or at least, openly." He chuckles. "It is another tradition back home, as long as you are discrete about it, people will petend they do not know what is heppening, no strange looks, no oblique references."

And he will be thinking of her in a kimono too, hmm... that might be the reason Malloory is kissesagain, this time a real toe-curling kiss. "I will miss you..."

"I just...don't want to offend anyone. I just know I'd do something wrong if I had to do it by myself. And I don't want a glare of doom from your aunt."

She leans into the kiss, knowing that these last few moments are going to have to last her for a while.

"I'll miss you, too. Think of me once in a while."

"Do not worry, if we time it well, Shizuka-sama will ve visiting relatives across the country." He chuckles and nods. "I think I will need to concentrate very hard... to not think about you all the time."

"I know I'm going to have the same problem."

She takes a deep breath, and hugs him tightly.

"One more kiss to last me until I see you again; then I'll go."

Ryu does not mind that. And if it will have to last them a while, the kiss will be a long one.

Very long.

...

Good thing they are in great shape and can go a while without breathing, right?

She'll gladly forgo air for a while for a lingering taste of him. When she finally (reluctantly) step back, she lightly caresses his cheeks with her hand and opens the door.

"See you soon."

Then, before she can change her mind and drag him back upstairs, she steps through to her own world, missing him already.

Ryu smiles to her, watching her go, so Mallory has a good image of him to carry back home. "Take care, and I will see you soon."

After her door closes, he sighs a bit and steps up, opening his own door to his Earth.

He will indeed be thinking of her a lot.
