"Thank you, but you don't have to do that." Demyx says after she brushes the hair from his face, understanding how hard it is for her to get that close to skin contact. "...Touch causes discomfort at best to Nobodies. The more hurt we are, the more it hurts." because for them it isn't death it's nonexistence, and to be closer to that edge than before and have someone putting the pressure of their own existence upon yours... yes. He gives a weak smile, looking off into the distance as he recalls, "Axel brushed a finger against the back of my hand, earlier in the week. I nearly screamed. I'm a lot better than that now, but you don't need to force yourself. You're a comfort just being here."
Lissar jerks her hand back as though it burns, and says, "Oh, Demyx!" again. "I'm sorry, I did not know! Are you certain there is nothing else I can do for you?"
Demyx smiles at Lissar again, as best he can manage. "It was just hair, it's fine. You didn't know, please don't worry. I just... I just need some rest. The hurt will take care of itself."
"...Not really." Demyx admitted with a sigh. "I keep worrying that Ro- Sora, or Riku or King Mickey will show up. That they'll be here and I won't notice until it's too late. It keeps me from really resting, I have to keep awake as much as possible in case I need to run, I'm in no state to fight like this. Not that I'd ever have a chance against the King."
Lissar nods, slowly, and says; "Come home with me, then. You may refuge in my home until you are well again. Ironhide will understand, I am certain." And if not she'll brave the big black 'bot's anger without fear.
Demyx opens his mouth, then closes it again. This offer takes him completely by surprise. No one has asked him to follow them home before. He's always been a pushy unwanted guest, at best.
"...You wouldn't mind?" he asks again, just to be sure.
"I have offered." Lissar says in turn, golden eyes sober and without fear, "My home is very small, but it is safe and you need fear nothing with my family around."
Demyx looks around for a moment. He hasn't been anyplace 'past' Millways, always sticking to his own universe and connected worlds.
After a moment of thought, he nods. Lissar has a way of doing this to him, throwing him complete curve balls of kindness that he has no sense on how to react to. It's completely foreign. But not bad, he decides.
