It's summer. At least, it's summer around here - back in Momiji's world it's approaching mid-autumn. Which, he figures, is all the more reason to enjoy the traditional, warm-season antics, while he's here!

This could explain the gigantic container of water balloons that he's dragging through the grass outside, trying to heave really hard (because it's heavy) and also oh-so-carefully (because they're balloons.) It almost certainly explains the guilty, little grin that lights his face as he does so.

He hasn't quite decided what to do with them all, yet, but it's going to be so cool.

Tumnus doesn't know what water balloons are so he comes over and smiles,

"Can I help you with those?"

"Oh...sure!"

Momiji tries not to look too scheming, as he stops his pushing so that Tumnus can get a hold of them. He doesn't reach for a balloon just yet, though - he's not sure whether he can bring himself to splash a poor, unsuspecting faun-guy.

"Be careful, though, they might burst."

"What are they are where are you taking them?"

They're very colorful but Tumnus doesn't really know about water balloons just water guns.

The first question, Momiji thinks, totally justifies lobbing one at him. It's not taking advantage of dimensional differences; it's just education.

"Well, they're neat!" He nods brightly reaching into the box and picking up a pale pink balloon, hefting it before tossing it playfully at Tumnus.

"You fill them with water and then they explode!"

Tumnus sputters as it explodes on him and then laughs before tossing one at Momiji.

"Eep!"

Well, the rabbit-boy thinks is a quietly gratified way, at least he learns fast! Still, Momiji has experience with these things on his side, and, as such, he easily leaps out of the way of the main wave of water, only getting his socks wet as it bursts in the grass.

"They're really fun...especially when it's hot out."

Tumnus is stockpiling as he creeps on quiet hooves to behind Momiji before firing two more,

"They are."

Alas, he wasn't expecting that one - and in water balloon fights, keeping on guard is key. Perhaps he'll remember that, now that the back of his shirt and his hair is all wet.

"Oh, no fair!" He laughs madly, spinning around so that he has the box behind him. He does his best to reach back and grab the brighly-colored blobs, chucking a trio of them somewhat erratically at Tumnus, one after the other.

They all land and Tumnus looks very silly with wet fur,

"You started it!"

Luckily he has one more balloon that he throws.

"I didn't say you could throw'em back, though!"

This is, of course, said in a teasing tone, complete with a tongue stuck out in Tumnus' direction. It's while he's busy doing so that the third balloon renders the front of his shirt as soggy and clinging as the first two.

"Hee - that was fun. Oh, and I'm Momiji!"

"I'm Tumnus and yes it was."

Tumnus shakes himself since his fur is now rather wet.
