Guppy is... a bit stuck.

One of feet got stuck in a dough blob, so he tried to stun it. Which resulted in him stunning his foot, falling over and dropping it.

He's now in the position of having both his feet stuck to the floor with dough blobs, whilst a couple of others seem to be trying to work out how to fire his stun gun at him.

"Give that back you little buggers..."

A nod. "Tea would be lovely."

She slides onto a stool, careful to make sure there aren't any lingering bits of dough around.

"Are you a general practitioner?"

"Geriatric rehab, formerly Accident and Emergency."

He orders tea. "What do you take?"

"Sounds like exciting work," she blinks.

"Generally just black, thank you."

She folds her hands and politely places them in her lap.

Guppy has seen few people sit so elegantly on a barstool.

"Here you go. What do you do?"

"Thank you kindly. I'm a school teacher," she smiles, taking a careful sip of tea. "Down in Green Lake, Texas. Only one in the whole town."

"That must be a tiny little school."

She chuckles softly. "It is. It's in some serious need of repair, too. But we make it work."

A pause.

"I'm sorry, when are you from? I'm from 1887, myself."

"2008, Holby. Maybe a collection here could raise funds for your school."

"Seems I meet a lot of folk from around your time," she nods. It's still an unusual concept for her to grasp.

"A collection?" she repeats with a slow-spreading smile. "That would be very kind, but I'm not sure I could impose upon the folks here in that way."

"If you put a jar out with a notice saying what it's for, I bet you'd get some support. It wouldn't be pushy, because if people don't want to give they just won't approach. There are some people here with more cash than they know what to do with. Bar can convert it into your home currency."

Katherine absorbs this quietly for a moment.

She beams at him, nodding her head. "I'll keep that in mind.

"Thank you," she says, and she sounds genuinely thankful.

"You're welcome. Although I'm not one of the people with more money than they know what to do with." he adds, a little sheepishly. "I got a wedding and a new baby to prepare for."

She laughs, cheeks a little pink. "Oh no, I wouldn't have presumed.

"But a new family? That's wonderful!"

"Thank you." Grin. "It's exciting and terrifying at the same time."

A nod. "I can imagine. You're starting a new life, after all."

"Are you married?"

Her cheeks pink again. "Ah, no," she says, combing an errant strand of blonde hair behind her ear.

Not that there haven't been suitors, but.

"Plenty of time for that."

She nods patiently. "I'm sure. Just getting settled into my new place anyhow, and the children deserve my full attention."

Did she mention the school needs a lot of work?

"How many do you have?"

She sips at her tea.

"Hm? Oh, I mean my students, pardon," she amends, shaking her head a little.

In all honesty, she does treat them all as if they were her own.

"There are near fourteen boys and girls in my class, all bright and mischievous, every one."

"How old?"

She shrugs her dainty shoulders. "All ages. As I said, I'm the only teacher they have. I even teach some of the adults in town, at night."

A smile. "Never too old to get an education."

"It must be a very small town."

"Smaller than most in your time, I imagine," she agrees.
