As usual, Ianto is sitting at the bar with a cup of coffee and his diary.

If one were to peek over his shoulder, one would see the words, "Today is my birthday" written at the top of today's page.

But one wouldn't do that, would one? It's terribly bad manners.

"Glad you've got someone to do that with, then," Lorne says, smiling. He likes to see his friends happy.

"Thank you." He has another sip of coffee. "Rather odd, really, who you connect with. Don't you think?"

Lorne has to laugh at that. "It really is, yeah."

"Though I wouldn't really call him a teddy bear," Ianto adds.

"Not from the way you've described him so far, no."

Ianto smiles into his coffee cup.
