John Crichton, astronaut, stumbled in through the door, managing to catch himself on the edge of a table. He barely registers Milliways before he's whirling around to go back out the door...

...instead he hit a wall. "Shit! Frelling don't do this to me!"

Ah yes, the dulcet tones of Mr. Crichton's cursing! How the Bar must have missed that.

He placed a palm against the wood, sighing. She was out there, Aeryn was out there, and he was dead and all of this stuff was happening without him and he didn't have time for this.

John leaned against the wall and sighed. Damn.

You know what makes it more awkward? John being John. "So how'd Communism work out for you?"

Coolly,

"Just fine."

"Cool." He clapped his hands together. "So I shot through a wormhole and into alien space. It was fantastical."

Beat, and for a moment all Soviet reserve is replaced by sheer delight.

"A wormhole?"

He eyed her expression. "You're not secretly a Peacekeeper who'll suck the secrets out of my head, right?"

"Hardly."

"Good. Then yeah, wormhole. Can't get back either. But I have the equations for getting back running through my head. But it's like...I can only access half of it. The other half is impossible to understand still."

"Why?"

"The aliens that gave me the information don't want me to use it yet...I have to figure out when and where to use it properly. Of course, two separate alien groups are trying to kill me or steal the information from my head to turn it into a weapon." He gestured with his hands. "It's all very explodey."

"Explosions can be fun."

Former jet-pilot turned cosmonaut - 'sensible' is not really in her vocabulary.

"Oh I agree. Just not when they're in my head."

He nodded.

"Yeah."

And now we are back to awkward, it seems.

Yeeeeah.

He clapped his hands again. "So it was nice to meet you, I'm gonna go get drunk."
